You've taken a throwaway pleasantry a poster said and turned it into... I don't know what. A perceived insult? An injustice? It's very strange and completely unnecessary.
A few weeks back someone posted a picture of their little one's gorgeous red hair and lots of people said 'ooh lucky her, what a lovely colour!'
Somehow everyone managed to take those comments for what they were - lovely, normal, nice comments. Not say 'oh so my child with brown hair is unlucky then?!' Complimenting something isn't the same as insulting anyone who doesn't have that quality.
It was a perfectly normal, run of the mill thing to say, it's your reaction that is absolutely bizarre.
