Have decided that my moustache can no longer be ignored. (I have pale skin & v. dark hair which is now growing in unwanted top lip places!)

SO....

do I shave it (stubble?), wax it? (do you get ingrown hairs?), bleach it? pretend it's normal??

What do you lot do? And once I start, how often will I have to re-do whatever I do????

Yours hairily

Milli

Ouch Charliecat

I used the Veet strip - it went a bit red but all gone now (few hours later). What did you use? Was it specially for face??

Long time ago I used to use Jolen bleach til some stupid boy at school pointed out that I was only making my tache more visible by bleaching it white when I am really dark haired with v pale skin!! Mortified to say the least

I now use Veet wax strips (box of about 12) they last me ages cos I use each one twice. Usually lasts about 3/4 weeks only problem is when its started growing back but not enough to wax. Oh those car mirrors in the winter sunshine are EVIL!!

I would seriously recommend electrolysis. I only had to have 3 or 4 sessions and its gone for good. OK it is painful, but honestly if you have gone through childbirth it is nothing! And it only lasts a couple of seconds. Please don't shave, I have heard so many stories from beauticians about women who have ended up with full blown hairy chests etc just from shaving a few dark hairs in the beginning.

Strips for face, wax away or something.

did you scar with the electrolysis???

pinkteddy · 24/02/2008 15:41

No scarring. I've had it done on my stomach and chin too and fine. You need to go with someone experienced and reputable though.
