Anyone have any way of getting rid of these bastards. I have lots of them and I hate them.

BlackFlyChardonnay · 17/05/2023 13:16

I had two frozen off recently. They were itching and driving me mad. Had to pay privately though. Dermatologist said they're just a natural part of aging 😭

Bossie123 · 07/06/2023 11:54

I’m with you! I have lots of these on my back, arms and legs. Can’t keep up on removing all of them and it’s awful! I can’t believe they can’t find some type of easier treatment or topical solution.

thehumansaredead · 11/07/2023 22:35

I've got millions too. Loads & loads of tiny ones between my breasts & on my neck, plus loads of bigger ones on my back. Did you find a solution? They actually make me feel really depressed about my appearance.

Lilsoph · 11/07/2023 22:49

I've been using bio oil following a recommendation on MN. It may be wishful thinking but Im sure they are starting to diminish. Been using it for about 2 weeks. Info on bio oil website suggests there should be a reduction in appearance of scars in about 3 months. No reference that I can find on their website to SK though.

mrstiggytinkle · 11/07/2023 22:55

I'm using salicylic acid directly on them - 20% strength. Bought as a home skin peel. They seem to be drying up and starting to flake off.

I've got loads so will report back on how my experiment on three is going but seems to be working. I believe they sit on top of the skin more like warts rather than deeper layers such as moles and freckles, so makes sense a wart product would work.

Never heard this. Report back!

BigTedLittleTedCardboardBox · 11/07/2023 23:15

I've still got a couple, but some disappeared when I started on hrt. They did all pop up around perimenopause, so the hormonal link isn't a surprise. Thankfully the massively itchy lumpy one that used to catch on my bra strap and bleed was one of the ones that went. The skin's totally smooth now.

Could you link to this? Sounds like what I need. I've had quite a few frozen off but it's so expensive.

Delphigirl · 11/07/2023 23:26

Eve lom intense night cream with retinol dissolved one I had on my cheekbone for years and years after a few months of use. I wasn’t even using it for that purpose. Fab stuff.

mrstiggytinkle · 11/07/2023 23:27

Go to Etsy and put in

25ml 20% Salicylic Acid Skin Peel BHA

It's about £4, can get other acids on there too, prepped by a chemist. Obvs need to know what you're doing but they are the real deal!

mrstiggytinkle · 11/07/2023 23:29

Btw I only use directly on the mark, use a cotton bud, not all over the skin (that's ok but not everyday)

Don't need to rinse it off like glycolic or other acids as it's self limiting...

OldKingCole · 12/07/2023 23:33

I am plagued with these too - all around torso and neck and especially bra stamp areas. Have had over 40 (v small!) ones frozen off in one go and they just keep popping up.
if I put fake tan on it looks so much as they just soak up the colour and turn darker.
at my wits end and so depressed
I’m only 47 but my Dr thinks that he would normally see this level on someon in their 70’s. I’m so worried it will just keep getting worse and worse 😞

PlatinumBrunette · 12/07/2023 23:46

I had one removed by my doc in another country several years ago - it appeared very quickly. He said it was a kind of wart. Now I’ve got a load more and am in the UK, so no chance of a GP doing this.

A pharmacist friend suggested Bazuka, so I tried on one I could easily reach and off it went over a few days! Applied with a matchstick so as not to touch normal skin. Need to try the tricky ones on my back at some point.

Bossie123 · 13/07/2023 04:12

Please let me know how that works. I’m trying tretinoin directly on a few of these but I’ve read reports it doesn’t really work. Just hoping,I guess!

Me too, this is very depressing since I have them all over now. They have just gotten worse every year and I feel like they are exploding now I’m getting so many. I can’t wear shorts anymore and now my arms are getting unsightly. I feel like it is taking so much from my life!

Rina66 · 13/07/2023 05:51

The Cerave SA Cream is very good, it takes a couple of weeks of regular daily use but you'll definitely see an improvement, I've had lumpy bumpy upper arms for ever but it's almost cured it.

ArcticBells · 13/07/2023 06:10

I had a hideous one on my shin. I shaved it off and it bled like a devil but after a few shavings it seems to have given up returning at least for now

Icequeen01 · 13/07/2023 06:30

I have one on my jaw line which I am hoping to get removed shortly by a skin clinic using laser treatment (just need to get my GP to put something in writing that it is a SK so I can go ahead). It's going to cost about £400 but after reading this I am considering trying some of the creams mentioned first to save myself all that money!

I've had it for quite a few years now and just accepted it but I work in an SEN school where the children can be a little too honest sometimes and often talk about me having a witchy mole which is starting to get to me now!

BringMeTea · 13/07/2023 08:23

@mrstiggytinkle Oooo I am so here for your updates... 👍🏼

GettingStuffed · 13/07/2023 11:45

Mine go and then reappear somewhere else, mainly under my boobs.

Comeback25 · 16/07/2023 17:04

I get mine lasered off at local beauticians. Pay for half an hour, about £100, and she gets loads of them, tags too. If not removed totally they grow back. Can be a bit ouch in places, but most effective to me as an old git!

iwantawisteriathisyear · 16/07/2023 18:20

I had all mine frozen off at a private dermatologist. They've never grown back.

Pancakeorcrepe · 16/07/2023 21:09

@Comeback25 where is your beautician? A that price, it could be worth the travel.

Comeback25 · 16/07/2023 22:35

Pancakeorcrepe in Leeds.

Oceanus · 16/07/2023 22:40

@mrstiggytinkle Bloody heck you're brave! 😮 I wouldn't putting anything off Etsy on my face.
