Just that really and...

do you love it?

I'm particularly interested in lip blush and the smoky top lash liner.

Ombré on brows, lip blush and smoky liner. I've good skin for my age so can go out with just a bit of sun cream on. Sort of forget it's there these days. Did a lot of research beforehand though. Lady said not to have winged as it can go droopy as you age and I am at the age where I'll be droopy sooner rather than later. Also listen to therapist as to what sort of brow is appropriate for your skin. Some don't work as well on oily skin.

KatharinaRosalie · 04/05/2023 18:55

Is eyebrows microblading or am I being an idiot? different techniques, in my case eyebrows are also tattooed.

Thanks everyone, I will revisit this
If anyone has recommended practitioners in London or Essex, I'd love some names.

the pics posted are lovely.

Loving reading through all the replies, giving me something to do as I feel a bit under the weather. I have smoky lash enhancement (in a couple of weeks) and lip blush booked in (June) to have done. I can't flipping wait. Great advice about the winged lash liner - I just want a subtle gradient - more of a smoky wedge than a wing.

I had powder brows done for the first time this time last week and wish I did it years ago. Took me no time at all to get used to them as they look like they belong on my face, couldn't be more pleased. They're so neat and perfect, hardly any noticeable scabbing. Was going to go for hair strokes but my skin is oily so was advised not to and im so glad I went for powder.

Peacemaking. I’d love a lip blush I have very thin lips.

Peacemaking is always good 🤗

Haha auto place marking

Idlechitchat · 04/05/2023 21:07

I’ve had micro blading and lip blush. Really happy with both. I don’t wear make up day to day so this makes me feel a bit more “done”. My natural brows are really fair and my lips are thin so feel lots better now. I found the lip blush really painful! I think the eye liner looks lovely but worry that I’m too fidgety to sit for it.

What's a smoky eye? I love the photos

Moonshine5 · 04/05/2023 21:20

Before and after.
Totally recommend. The middle picture was halfway through the treatment. Took a couple of hours and still good over a year later.
Eyebrow was microblading with powder.

I go to Jasmine in Chelmsford, she was recommended to me on here. She is truly amazing.

I had eyeliner 4 years ago, still a bit left but needs redone.

Was a bit painful at the time of the treatment to be honest, like a series of small stings, took some paracetamol beforehand and next time I think I might take something stronger.

I was bruised slightly for a few days and a bit of scabbing so I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere for maybe a week or so after, but overall I was delighted.

First time I looked in the mirror when it was healed I got a shock as my eyes looked so defined!

Planning on getting it redone this summer. May be brave and get a slight winged look after seeing the photo above!

Definitely go to someone experienced and reputable though, I imagine it could go quite wrong with someone wasn’t 😟

FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall · 05/05/2023 10:22

Lipblush and Microblading. I found Microblading very painful but Lipblush wasn't too bad at all.

I love the effect of both of them and would really like eyeliner too but I'm too scared of anything that near the eye.

Season0fTheWitch · 05/05/2023 11:29

I've had my lips done, I get filler too and the permanent lip colour is just slightly darker than my natural colour. Light enough that I can cover it with other shades of lipstick, but obvious enough that I can put on lip gloss and look as though I've spent more time on them!

I've had my tightline and eyeliner done too. Just a dark grey-brown on my tightline, and a 2mm black line on my eyelid. I can add a wing to it and be done with it. I get it topped up every 9-12 months, depending on how it's faded.

I've had my eyebrows done too, but I've now had some treatments to make them thicker, hair healthier etc so I don't need to top it up now. If my eyebrows needed it I absolutely would again.

I've been really impressed with the results, I thought I'd do it once just to try it but I think I'll keep topping them both up forever more.

nodogz · 05/05/2023 11:31

Had eyes very lightly smoky on top and tight lined on bottom about four years ago. They work brilliantly day to day as eyes are defined but are not super dramatic without makeup.

I wear glasses and lost some sight so couldn't put makeup on properly.

Painwise it was about 3/10. I did research the person doing it extensively and picked someone I was very happy with (and I'm picky!)

IhearyouClemFandango · 05/05/2023 11:32

I have had my eyebrows done, kind of a combo brow. Picture is before and after first session.

Am due a top-up and may ask for a few more hair strokes.

The powder brows look amazing, I don't think I could bring myself to give up my Tretinoin, does anyone think it'd matter if I use it but not over the brow?

changedusername190 · 05/05/2023 16:09

Eyebrows micro bladed, lip blush, Botox and lash line.

Sweetladyjane · 05/05/2023 16:13

I had my lash line done about 10 years ago and it’s still there:) I have fine blonde lashes and it helps them stand out even if I’m not wearing mascara / got behind on my eyelash tint.

EmmaEmerald · 05/05/2023 16:31

nodogz "I wear glasses and lost some sight"

blimey, that sounds really scary!

EmmaEmerald · 06/05/2023 22:17

I notice websites mention a top up in 4 weeks or so

does that have the same side effects as the first treatment?

justanothermummma · 06/05/2023 22:21

Eyebrows - had combination brows done - microblading at the front and light shading the rest. Looks super natural and a year on they're still perfect.

Had lip filler done for the first time 10 days ago, only 0.5ml so not overly obvious but it's a change for me and sorted my cupids bow, which I wanted more definition of.

Interested in the eyeliner side of things!

coolnice · 06/05/2023 22:24

I am an experienced microblading and spmu artist it is my absolute passion

Any questions please ask ❤️

One MASSIVE thing I must say is for anyone considering semi permanent make up do your research because I constantly see absolutely awful work.
A lot of "artists" go into it for a quick buck and do not give a fuck about the faces they ruin
