Plus size party dress - where should I be looking?

I've done John Lewis, Monsoon, Debenhams, Scarlett and Jo and Phase Eight.

I'm a size 24 with a huge stomach so can't wear anything body hugging - or with a waist!

It's for a work do - note quit black tie, but I need to look like I've made an effort!

Where should I look? Thanks :)

Have you seen the ones I posted the links to earlier? Wondering if any of them might work.

Also, take a look at these ones:

Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4
Option 5
Option 6
Option 7
Option 8

All of the above are from Coast.

The Evans website is quite good, I've only bought tops from there but I've liked everything that I've ordered. It's slightly different since being bought out, they stock a few brands now.

I second this. I've bought some lovely summer dresses and dressy dresses from Evans. Their sizes are generous so I find that when I check the size guide for measurements, if between sizes I opt for the smaller. And they deliver very quickly!

Can I also suggest that you get something like this:
Medium Control Secret Slimming™ Full Slip | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com)
to wear under whatever you end up wearing. You might find that some of the dresses already suggested would work if you get the base layer right.

Good idea, thanks :)

Have you looked at ChiChi? They do a good plus size range.

Chi chi is fab.

Also Very - has Very Curve plus numerous other third party brands.

And weirdly - Shein - for something trendier their curve stuff is good.

Haven't gone through all the responses so someone may have already suggested but Coast do lots of nice plus size options.

I put a few suggestions from Coast on Friday at 9:23

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions.

I ordered something from Scarlett and Jo, Next and the Monsoon dress.

None of them suited and so they need to go back.

I also ordered a few things from Vinted - not used it before but someone suggested selling stuff through it, and I ended up buying stuff instead 😁

Oops, hit send too soon!

The brands suggested here were useful for searching on Vinted.

The first dress that has arrived from Vinted suits me, it'll do the job :)

It looks like it has a waist but, as I hoped, it actually comes in under my boobs, so that works.

Picture of it over here:

What shoes and accessories with this dress? | Mumsnet

How would you accessorise this dress for an evening do? What show style and colour would you go for? (I'm not keen on open toed shoes). Thanks :)

Have a look online at Taking Shape UK. They have a sale on at the moment and their dresses are always made from fab fabric which hangs beautifully. Their sizes are fairly generous too. I’m a 22 (mostly for my mid section) and wear a size Medium (!) or a 20.
