yay or nay on these sandals

Can't decide if these are nice or fugly? I like a wedge, but can't wear heels anymore so thought these might be a wearable compromise. FYI I'm 47 and tend to wear dresses, cropped trousers/jeans and sometimes shorts in the summer

They are OK, That style was worn by all ages last summer, but I'm also wondering about the canvas rubbing.

The M&S ones are unattractive, especially the second pair.

I really like them. I like the leather/canvas combo. It looks like they're Pappilio, so will be comfortable.

I've got the three strap M&S ones in gunmetal (although it's more of a dull bronzy gold imho) and they seem pretty comfortable so far (not had much of a chance to wear them for long thus far)

They aren't hideous but have a slight look of orthopedic sandal to them if I'm honest. Like they came from Brantano or whatever it's called now.

@MysteryBelle thanks for the suggestions. First ones aren't really my style, second are too high and the third is a pair of silver loafer! (which actually I rather like, but I need some sandals too)

@WonderingWanda I haven't - I always thought Next footwear looked really cheap when I've (rarely) been in one of their shops, but these look pretty good!

See - these look too much like hiking sandals to me (it's the velcro) so I don't love them

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking the second style maybe could be found in a lower wedge, and I threw in the loafers just as a different option that might look good with the outfits you mentioned. It is really hard to find shoes that are comfortable, stylish, and that we look forward to putting on! I have the same problem. Hope you find the perfect sandals.

not sure what size feet but find Art Company shoes to be very comfortable and definitely not cheap looking.

I could’ve written this post!! Just bought these Hush Puppies sandals they are almost identical, so comfy though…..I can’t wear very flat sandals any more as I find really painful nowadays!

I love them, totally my thing.

I don’t understand the ardent love for hideous super thick strap hiking sandal-like shoes that make your feet look spread out flat like a caveman’s. There are more attractive comfortable options. But ok. I will be the solitary lone voice crying out in the wilderness.

Ankle straps (imho) need long slim lower legs otherwise they look frumpy and make shorter legs look even shorter.

I prefer something like this from Moda In Pelle, Dune do a similar version too.

I'm going to try on a pair of those Glendas - if they fit well they could save me my annual wearisome search for sandals.
