Nearly 10 yo dd is saying the other dc are bullying them because of it. They are begging me to remove their dark mono brow and upper lip hair but I have no idea if there's a way of safely and hopefully painlessly?!

Any ideas gratefully received.
I've tried very hard for months to say it doesn't matter ignore etc but dd now getting very upset by it all.

Oh wow waxing seems to be overly painful? I get my eyebrows threaded surely no one can think a 9yo can handle that or am I just a mega wimp?
It is bothering her though so happy to do something. Is shaving a terrible idea, using a trimmer? I know it can grow back thicker but I'm thinking can I drag the pain bit out until she's a bit older ...

Studio sell an at home IPL for £50 and I have to say, it's brilliant! I saw results after one use and I'm fair haired (the darker the hair the more successful it is) so I was shocked. Just make sure you/her shave before you use it. If you pluck/wax/thread before using IPL it won’t work as it needs the root of the hair to be sat in the follicle (which is what happens when you shave, obviously!) as it uses the pigment within the root to destroy the follicle.

It's an old wives tale that shaving makes it grow thicker. If that was true we'd all have legs like cave men. It grows back just the same as it was before.

Veet wax strips are a quick, easy and relatively painless DIY option.
