Another trainers one!

I'm desperate to replace by Stan Smiths since seeing Matt Hancock wearing them but I don't know what to buy. I was going to get some New Balance 327s, but now decided I'm bored of seeing them everywhere before I've even got them for myself. So I need some other suggestions. Not Vejas. Bored of seeing them as well (easily bored, obviously!). Opinions would be appreciated to look trendy but not try-hard for an approaching 50 year old.

Has anyone got Golas and can say whether they are comfortable?

What else are people wearing that is perhaps less obvious but looks good and is super-comfortable?

Yes, totally agree. My DD is in her twenties and also mainly wears the Airforce 1s. She recently got the platform converse which I really like. I still like the converse all star and also have the white Adidas continental which are a good alternative to Stan Smiths. I like converse with wide leg jeans and trousers as I think it balances the proportions out.

That's good to hear because I just ordered them. I wanted to get it in before they run out of my size, and I'll return them if I decide I like something else. I've looked at all the options posted here, but I'm still preferring my original shortlist of two. I think the Nikes might be good daytime trainers, and then I need a second pair for when I want to be a bit smarter. At least with my old Stan Smiths I felt like they could pass for evenings as well.

I wear Puma Suede, Stan Smiths didn't suit me. I also have a pair of white leather Tommy Hilfiger ones which I'm really shocked about as white trainers usually make my feet look like mini surf boards!

Ooh @RavenT i am size 5.5 adult. Does that translate to size 5.5 kids or am I getting confused? Quite fancy onitsuga tigers and the kids ones are a bit cheaper but I don’t want to order and return endlessly. Does anyone know?

The kids NB sizes are bigger ime than the women's.

In a Big Kid 574 I'm a 5.5 (I'm a 5.5 to 6), however when I ordered a women's size 5.5 574 in a different colour i liked I could barely get them on,.... 🤔

I have metallic Gola Grand Slam too which are also very pretty but I find them a bit tight on the toes...

I've spent literally the whole winter in black 327's, so comfortable!

I'm very excited about flower mountain trainers at the mo - super comfortable and a bit different.
