It doesn't feel like covid ( we all had it September/October and we were really unwell for weeks). Sore throat ( i have no voice) headache slightly snuffly and feel very dizzy and DD has high temperature ( but as she has several chronic illness and no immunity to anything she usually gets everything worse) . She finally had her flu jab 10 days ago so this is unfair. I'm just doing as little as possible except look after DD and some easy knitting. I have a hospital appointment I've been waiting for since January 2022 this week so I hope I can go ( will do covid test on Wednesday). And it's my birthday on Sunday so we have a house full and a fancy catered lunch that day. Oh well fingers crossed it's just a cold

Loving the weekend outfits
I'm off to meet friends for drinks and food
Fatface dungarees, black polo-neck from Arket, Lotta clogs

Great combo!

EllaPaella · 27/03/2023 22:01

Hope you feel better soon @Sooverthemill
I've had Covid 3 times in the last year and the 2nd & 3rd times although I felt a bit rough for a couple of days I wasn't really poorly like the first time, no temperature. Just a stuffy nose, sore throat and achy muscles.
There seems to be a variant going round our hospital at the moment which is making people feel really poorly again, more flu like symptoms than omicron or whatever the last one was.

Can I join please? I wore and am still wearing this

Ooh whats this app?

I wore plain black next joggers and a nice green jumper i got from next a few years ago now. I look like a frump though so never take pictures.

EllaPaella · 27/03/2023 22:05

Hunting for the perfect simple black maxi dress for summer. These two are top of the list. Ordered the Cos one to try but reluctant to order from Zara given current reports over poor returns. May have to go to a store. Anyone seen any other nice ones?
I know it's premature but so excited am I about lighter nights and the prospect of summer I got all my sandals and summer shoes down from the attic today.

For some reason I struggle with knowing what jeans (not skinny) and boots go! Haven’t worn my docs at all this winter so hoping they go!

hush Agnes jeans and french connection jumper!

The thing that annoys me about jeans that aren’t skinny is that the knees go baggy so they don’t retain their shape - surely you don’t need to wash after one wear?!

You look gorgeous.

Cos one looks nice zara one looks a bit cheap tbh

EllaPaella · 27/03/2023 22:21

@Fluffodils yes in my experience Zara dresses are often thin, almost see through and not great quality. I just love the look of everything online the way they style it all but it rarely lives up to expectations. I like the detail in the way the top part of the dress dips down into a V shape though.

HorribleHisTories15 · 27/03/2023 12:32

Aw thanks @EllaPaella . I'm wearing it again today, as you all know I like to wear things a few times before washing them eco friendliness clashing with laziness

Lovely outfit @OublietteBravo . You do dresses and boots very stylishly.

Completely understand @Sooverthemill , sickness in the house really knocks it out of you doesn't it? You still look presentable to me though.

Today:
Dark green polar neck: comma
Cardigan: Primark
Green trousers: Jessica Simpson (really old pair. does anyone remember that singer? She had a clothing line in the US many years ago, and I succumbed)
Shoes: topshop

You look like a model. So so stylish. Love it

I find block colour dresses from Zara very see-through. Print ones can be okay - depends on the dress 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Cos dress looks really lovely. I think you'll keep getting it out over the years, probably not so the Zara one.

Niftythrifter · 28/03/2023 07:45

Second hand
Whistles cotton jumper in springtime tones

Hope that you feel better soon @Sooverthemill, it's horrible having an event coming up and wondering whether or not you're going to be I'll, particularly when the focus is on you and you are hosting.

I like both dresses @EllaPaella but prefer the Zara one - it's very much your style, I think it will really suit you.

Wondering whether today might be this dresses' last outing until autumn, it's served me very well this winter.

Dress: Zara
Boots: H&lM

I can't wait for warmer weather either! Back in my winter clothes today.

Those dresses are both really cool @EllaPaella but the Cos one will probably wear better and date less.

Today's outfit:
& Other Stories jumper
Reiss trousers

Today I used a bit of the overtime I accumulated this month to take a couple hours off work to see sakura blossoms from a boat.
Unfortunately the weather is still crap just like it was last week, rainy, windy and just overall Baltic, but the cherry trees looked pretty nevertheless. I'll try to upload a couple of photos, most of them are screenshots from the videos I took so I'm afraid the quality of the pics might not be the best.

I'm also pissed off with Sezane, they sent me damaged loafers, I returned them, ordered another ones and they are damaged AND dirty! Do they do any sort of quality check or what. It doesn't help that they have sent an email stating they have refunded me for the first pair last Monday, but I haven't seen this money on my bank account yet, and now they have sent another email saying they "have refunded" me for the 2nd pair too - lovely, but when will I actually get the money? If only they would reply to my emails faster!

@toucaninjapan, love the dungarees and the sakura.

itssquidstella · 28/03/2023 10:03

Gorgeous blossom, @toucaninjapan! How frustrating re Sézane - I hope you get your money back soon.

itssquidstella · 28/03/2023 10:04

@Sooverthemill what a fab jumper, you're a talented knitter!

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2023 10:27

@HorribleHisTories15 - I love your jeans from yesterday’s outfit.

@EllaPaella - I prefer the Zara dress. But it appears to be some kind of knitted material, which might be a bit clingy for summer.

@Rollerbird - great jumper!

@Sooverthemill - I hope you feel better soon. DH currently has a virus, and is being thoroughly miserable.

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2023 10:29

Grey and wet today. I think my outfit reflects this. It’s certainly not especially springlike.

Blouse: Brora (via eBay)
Belt: Mint Velvet
Jeans: Gap
Boots: DMs

@toucaninjapan that's frustrating re Sezane, I seem to remember the returns process can be very variable. The cherry blossom here is making an appearance as well although not it full bloom and typical March/April it's absolutely freezing- was 3° this morning on car thermometer.

Thanks everyone for thoughts on the dresses, I've ordered the Cos one and will and try to get to Zara next week to try on the other.

Sooverthemill · 28/03/2023 13:34

@toucaninjapan sezane respond super fast to WhatsApp messages. Emails slower

toucaninjapan · 28/03/2023 13:38

@Sooverthemill my experience with them lately has been that they ignore me on WhatsApp and send an email instead (even if my first message was on WhatsApp only!). God knows why🤷🏼‍♀️
