Just that, really. Have you tried any and what would you recommend, and what would you avoid, please?

Re the comments about irritation etc, I use and App that graded products. It’s Yuka. Works on food, cosmetics and toiletries.

Quite interesting.

It's this, apparently:

Isopropyl Cloprostenate

Taken from the link someobody posted just after your post.

I bought UKLash a few weeks ago and have been using it (not seeing any results or side effects yet) and this is the first I've ever heard of this orbital fat loss issue.

Thinking I might stop using it now.

Thanks. I'll stop using it.

Mercurial123 · 22/03/2023 14:27

I just checked Liaison Lash Bond on Yuka and that's OK to use it scored 93/100.

Mrcpy · 21/03/2023 23:12

Thats the problem with saying stuff you don’t understand. Non-prescription UK products don’t contain prostaglandins. Only the US products do.

UK do, but under a different name.

I take Biotin ( for hair loss after covid and the menopause) I definitely have noticed a difference in my eyelashes and eyebrows. I’ve heard castor oil is a good cheaply version for lash serum ,

SuchAFunAge · 22/03/2023 19:09

@Mrcpy after a quick Google, you'll find that plenty of over the counter UK products contain prostaglandins. For example, Revitalash contains Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide and UK Lash contains Isopropyl Cloprostenate. Both are prostaglandin analogues.

Suuudohnym · 22/03/2023 23:49

I’ve used Rapidlash for about 10 years and I’m always being asked if I’m wearing false lashes. Never heard anything about side effects and never suffered from any.

Briallen · 22/03/2023 23:53

Uk lash worked amazingly on my sister who is in her 20s. I’m too paranoid about the fat loss thing as I’m late 30s and do not want sunken eyes. I used a cheaper make once a few years back (can’t remember which make) and I got recurring styes so had to stop

StrawHatOnTheParcelShelf · 23/03/2023 00:16

SirVixofVixHall · 22/03/2023 09:54

The Ordinary one doesn’t contain the prostaglandins that can cause hollowing and colour changes.
Not all splash serums contain them, but the ones that work particularly well on lashes are also the ones with prostaglandins in, as they are very effective at increasing eyelash growth. Not worth risking hollowed out eye sockets though !

Thank you, that's good to know. It might also explain why the product didn't work!

pockledigg · 23/03/2023 04:30

Castor oil works - and it's cheap and safe. I massage a tiny drop into my eyelashes before bed.

MavisMcMinty · 23/03/2023 12:59

I’m horrified to hear about the hollowed eyes! I used Revitalash for a year or two and it was amazing. I have long eyelashes anyway, but after a couple of months noticed when I wore my driving sunglasses they actually touched my lashes, they were so long. And complete strangers would comment on them!

Castor oil doesn't work for everyone. It certainly didn't for me

I use PrimeLash via Primecosmetics online (I hope I am allowed to put this on here)
I lost a lot of my hair and volume/length of my eyelashes after catching covid. This brand was designed (apparently) for ladies who have lost their eyelashes / brows through Chemo and other cancer treatments and I find it has made such a difference. My eye lashes are now as good if not longer than they were before. I use their serum and mascara but they do also sell a small selection of other cosmetics.
Hope this helps

Revitalash and rapidlash both made my lashes look amazing for the only time in my life. Made my eyes red, watery and sore though.
UKLash didn’t cause me any irritation but also didn’t particularly improve my lashes.

Apologies for the delay JoanThursday1972. I'm sorry I don't have a note of the ingredients but I believe another poster has confirmed that all is good with them
