Help me find a plus sized dress to wear to a wedding.

I'm 5ft 9 and size 22-24. I'm 52. Going to a spring wedding and want to buy a lovely new dress. The ones I've been looking at have been flowery maxi dresses, but DP thinks they're awful and I should wear something a bit more "classic."

That Phase Eight dress is gorgeous and you clearly like it because it's one you picked yourself. Cross bust to enhance your bosom, nipped in below the bust for a slimming effect and gathered below to skim over the wider bits lower down. The colours are gorgeous and it would look good with lots of colours for a little jacket or bolero. Best of all is that Phase eight dresses are usually a good weight fabric so they hang especially well. I'm just off to order it for myself for a special anniversary cruise in a couple of months so even if you don't get it for yourself, thanks for showing it to me 😀.

Take a look at Scarlett and Jo - something like this. They are all variations on the same design with different fabrics and lengths. I wore one for a wedding last year and I got so many compliments. They are very flattering, have a stretchy band in the middle that holds you in a bit.
