Help me find a plus sized dress to wear to a wedding.

I'm 5ft 9 and size 22-24. I'm 52. Going to a spring wedding and want to buy a lovely new dress. The ones I've been looking at have been flowery maxi dresses, but DP thinks they're awful and I should wear something a bit more "classic."

Help.

Chesca (either chescadirect or john lewis) - perfect for weddings. I've got some really lovely dresses from there that are cut beautifully and for the size on the label, not fashion if that makes sense like Asos etc.

Scarlett and Jo - fail safe dresses that also figure flatter and hang gorgeously.

Peter Hahn is also a good call - I've had some really nice quality stuff from there, not cheap but well made. Bit more "european" I think.

And if you're feeling flush, Marina Rinaldi or Anna Scholz.

Would there be anything on the Karen Millen website that might suit you?

Karen Millen has a plus collection that has really nice dresses up to size 24 - more expensive but more interesting shapes and think heavier fabrics which can be more flattering. Also Phase 8 and Coast both have nice plus collections too.

Take a look at chesca I bought a navy layered dress with a pixi coat over it and was so happy with the look
Am short and fat but fel great for once

As a tall fat 59yo, so many of those dresses just tick the plus size boxes - polyester and that dreadful way they hang. The only one I love and may click on to buy in a minute is the lovely v neck honey coloured anthroplologie dress.

These are more expensive and Australian, but really beautiful.
