Shoes for walking to farm gate

As the title might suggest I live on a farm and I am looking for easy shoes to put on to nip outside if I need to go to the 'big bin' or down the drive to the letter box. Both are in a gravel/ concreted area.

My husband wears wellies/ work boots so they always come off at the front door and slippers go on. Growing up on a farm this is how his house always worked. Our DS is about to start crawling and we think it might be better if we both don't wear outdoor shoes indoors anymore (I won't ask anyone but us to do this).

My issue is I've been going around in slippers but if I have to run out for a min I just go in my slippers so it sort of defeats the purpose! I leave my trainers by the door but I don't usually change. So I need something that will take literally seconds. I'm thinking something like this:

I have birkenstock sandals which I love but these seem pretty pricey for what I want. Although they may last forever in that case!

Anyone any thoughts? Yes I have little to be doing with myself for 5 minutes

For little jobs like that I have fake crocs in a big size that I can put on with my slippers 😂

Echo this. These are fab. Size up as they come quite narrow. I love my red hot chili peppers...

Another farmer here! I have a pair of Skechers 'easy going' mules for my gate jaunts, fake suede with a decent chunky sole. They are nice and warm and squishy - Crocs/crocalikes are too cold to put my feet in at this time of year.

Sliders! I wear my son's outgrown ones...

I am also on a farm and I use crocs all year round. They are very comfortable and plastic so easily washed if they get a bit muddy.

@redspottedmug the cattle of course 😂

More good links here too. Thanks everyone for taking the time. I'm actually in town tomorrow, the big smoke, approx 1,500 people live there. But the co-op/ farmers everything shop may have what I am looking for.

I use Tretorn ankle wellies, can put them on / take off in seconds without using hands!

Crocs or cloggies… these will be fab. But posting in ‘ style or beauty’? Who is either stylish or beautiful in the circumstances you describe? Behave!

I have a cheap pair of croc-alikes for bin putting out/chicken feeding purposes. A size too big so I can slip them on over thick socks without touching them, then I just kick them off in the porch. I put them in the washing machine with other outdoor clothing periodically and they come out fine.
Not attractive, but they do the job and nobody except the chickens sees them anyway. They are very stylish birds themselves, but they overlook my fashion faux pas as long as I'm carrying their feed bucket.

I have gardening clogs. Made of green welly ype rubber. I have had them years.
