Has anyone found an under eye concealer that actually covers dark circles?!

I despair trying to find something that works. I’ve always had dark areas under my eyes but as I get older they seem harder to disguise. I used to like Clarins instant concealer & then they discontinued it. It’s now back so I bought it & it doesn’t cover them anymore & I feel like I’ve wasted £20! I’ve been to various beauty counters but none have covered the dark enough to justify the cost.
When I apply anything it just seems to look dry & crepey even though I use an eye cream.
I look tired & pale, getting me down.

Can anyone tell me of something that will actually cover them and not look caked on?

Another vote for Beauty Pie under eye stuff - in the little silver pot- it’s amazing!

Hey @Littlemiss74 ,

I feel your pain, colour corrector is your friend.

I was contemplating travelling to Scotland (from the South of England) for tear trough fillers! However since discovering Nars colour corrector all of those thoughts have disappeared.

Now, I always look bright- eyed and bushy tailed! Only a tiny, and I mean infinitesimal amount is needed, to achieve a big effect. I use an eye liner brush to apply a thin line of product to a very specific area of my face.

These two videos explain very well, how and where to apply:

And

Thanks @User404 these are really useful x I always slap my concealer on , never thought to use a brush 🙈

The maybelline product above is incredible. Even better than touché eclat!

Very pale skin here and dark circles, for me the game changer was colour correction using a peach tone. I like the Rimmel ones that’s got peach, green and purple in the set. All others I’ve tried are too orange

Shockingly the il mackiage one actually works. I am Asian and my circles are like panda eyes and this actually works. What is especially good about it is that you don't have to also wear foundation over your whole face to make it work.

I get the panda eyes too with being darker skinned . Which colour do you wear please in this range

I use Charlotte Tilbury magic vanish corrector first (which is great and well worth the £25 spent on it). Totally removes the dark shadows I seem to have developed under my eyes!

Then, I dab on concealer to get a more even tone (currently using ysl but think it's abit meh. I need to find a quality concealer so watching this thread with interest!)

Another vote for the Beauty Pie undereye corrector, followed by L’Oréal infallible more than concealer - which is LOADS better than the Maybelline rewind one which has been suggested a few times. Absolutely essential to sweep a wee bit of powder under eyes to set afterwards though, whatever you’re using, otherwise it will crease. Beauty Pie one powder wonder is excellent for this and totally indiscernible.

I use the Tropic Illuma one and it's incredible, would never go back.
If you send a pic they will advise on the right shade for you, and there's a money back guarantee.

AYU or Revlon eye primer

I second the bobbi brown corrector, it really does make a huge difference using this under concealer. I basically went into a bobbi brown store saying 'please help with my dark under eye area' and was amazed when they used this. Just make sure you get the right shade depending on your skin tone. I then use glossier stretch concealer on top.

They have brought back Clarins instant concealer. I ordered some yesterday.

newusern1 · 04/10/2023 10:03

I bought the maybelline brightener which helps a bit. I also bought some cheap powder and that really helps it all last all day.
however the powder often clings to the creases.
any recommendations for a good powder to use under eyes for a woman in 40s

Shopper727 · 04/10/2023 10:07

I am very dark under my eyes and my eye lids. Concealer alone doesn’t work for me. I correct using a light peach corrector then concealer lightly - Armani one is lovely but once you’ve corrected you can use any concealer. Currently correct with a pixi corrector or Bobbi brown pot light peach and the it cosmetics bye bye eye is fab you only need a teeny weeny bit so they last for ages

BridgetRandomfuck · 04/10/2023 10:07

Definitely a peach colour corrector rather than a concealer. I bought the Beauty Pie eye concealer after seeing it raved about on here and it didn't do much for me. But a colour corrector is a game changer.

letstryagainnow · 05/10/2023 12:00

Those who use the Bobbi brown... I can see on the description on LF that they advise the bisque shades for purple type shadows and peach for more brown shadows. Has anyone found this to be correct? Most people upthread have referred to peach toned correctors.
