Eyelash serum again - sorry!

I'm currently using The Ordinary eyelash serum and am not seeing any results yet (7weeks in). I'm going to keep going as some have said it takes up to 3 months to have any effect.

My question is, if I decide to try a different serum when this runs out, which is best the one out of UKLash and Rapidlash.

Thank you 😊

The Ordinary serum doesn't contain any active ingredient as far as I can see. Search eye lash serum containing bimatroprost. Thats the ingredient you need.

GlamGiraffe · 05/02/2023 20:58

Lumigan. It's the drug containing bimataprost. Great results.

VanillaImpulse · 05/02/2023 20:59

But can change your eye colour so be warned!

Nothingbuttheglory · 05/02/2023 21:00

The Boots No 7 one has made a massive difference to my thyroid-decimated lashes.

WoolyMammoth55 · 05/02/2023 21:01

OP, I used LiLash and had great results and (just luck I think) no eye colour change.

Too time&cash poor to bother just now but often think of doing it again someday, the results were brilliant - but it is quite pricey.

Sorry what - change your eye colour?!

SocksAndTheCity · 05/02/2023 21:39

I also tried the Ordinary one and it made no difference whatsoever, although I didn't have high hopes at that price, tbh.

UKLash worked great for me - I haven't tried Revitalash.

Sorry what - change your eye colour?!

There were some trials where people with light eyes - blue, green, grey - reported more brown in their eyes after using.

If you have brown eyes then there's no risk, as I understand it.

Mine are blue and stayed blue, but I knew there was a risk :)

Thank you for all your replies.

Sorry, should have said I don't want to spend an absolute fortune as I'm not entirely convinced that they work. However, I'd love to be one of those people who have to stop using it because they're lashes are so long!

Yep, it was remarkably 'good value' 😆

I've been using Uklash as I have false lashes which had been pulling my own lashes out.
My lash technician recommended it.
I have my lashes infilled every three weeks and my eyelashes were back with a vengeance by my next appointment.
I've been using it ever since, I put a dab on every other night, at first I used it every night for a fortnight then went to every other night.
It really works.

'their' not 'they're'.

I'm all of a dither after Happy Valley 😮

I like uklash but I've never tried any others

Rebel2023 · 05/02/2023 22:21

Rapidlash works well for me

DamnThatHitsHome · 05/02/2023 22:22

Rapidlash worked for me to grow lovely lashes.

However…

It also caused hollowing of my eye sockets that made me look tired and old. I stopped nearly a year ago and only now am getting back to how it should be, but still not fully.

I loved the lashes, but they couldn’t make up for the awful look of my eyes.

DamnThatHitsHome · 05/02/2023 22:23

To be clear, the only active ingredient tbh at works (same in rapidlash, revitalash etc) will have the same effect regardless of brand.

Some people get lucky but I didn’t!

BlossomWood · 05/02/2023 22:23

I tried UKlash and saw a difference within a couple of 3 weeks

PersonaNonGarter · 05/02/2023 22:24

Would the same product work on brows, or should I buy a separate one?

Wonderfulbutwornout · 05/02/2023 22:27

Uklash was recommended to me. Her lashes looked amazing! But when I used it, it made my eyes so itchy and I’m not a particulary sensitive person with products.

SayMyNameProperly · 05/02/2023 22:29

I've used UKLash very successfully. My optician even commented about my unusually thick, plentiful and long lashes. Yay!

😮 Oh no, that sounds awful. Hope everything goes back to how it should be.

But can change your eye colour so be warned!

It can change your eye colour and also lead to loss of orbital fat, so your eyes can become sunken. Those two things have put me off using any of the lash serums with prostaglandins in.
