I'm 5'11 - I live in comfy shoes day-to-day. Uggs or slouchy boots at the moment, flip flops or ballet pumps in summer.

I don't shy away from heels, though, just not sky-scraper ones. Kitten heels are good, and there are plenty out there.

Beauregard · 07/02/2008 14:19

Links to shoes would be good too.

I am 6 foot and wear what the hell I like!

I actually quite like being tall anyway, at the mo have got some platform heeled court shoes on.

Wear ballet shoes and flip flops in summer, but the majority of my shoes have some kind of heel/wedge/platform.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/02/2008 14:20

MrsMattie - I don't really like kitten heels. I either think flat shoes or substantial heels.

Perhaps it's because I have got fat ankles and kitten heels make them look worse!

Beauregard · 07/02/2008 14:22

GetorfmoiLand-I would love to have your confidence ,sadly i dont and shy away from even the smallest of heels.

I'm 5,9" so I don't know if you class me as tall enough but I hate wearing heels. I usually shop for low shoes / boots, maybe a 1-2" heel. Schuh have lots of great things in. www.schuhstore.co.uk/womens_main_frameset.asp

MrsMattie · 07/02/2008 14:25

I haven't banned big heels from my repertoire altogether . I just couldn't wear them on a daily basis. On a night out - cool. I like being tall, too. I have always had the dominatrix-beeyatch gene, though.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/02/2008 14:28

I think it is because I come from a family of lanky twats, in comparison to them I am short.

Pelvic - it's not confidence really, it's vanity, I stand up straight in high heels so don't look all slouchy and pot bellied like I do in flats.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/02/2008 14:31

I think there are such a lot of pretty flat shoes out there though, now. There are some really nice flats in Whistles at the mo (jewelled ones).

If you work in an office envioronmeny and have to look smart, it is difficult to find decent shoes, ballet shoes are inappropriate, and most other flat shoes are frump city. Plus, if you have big feet (mine are size 9) if you wear flat and inelegant shoes you can look like a bloke!)

Mind you, on the subject of inelegant, walking across very busy junction this morning, tripped over my own feet and one of my shoes fell off. All in front of a line of waiting traffic. I felt like such an arse!

Beauregard · 07/02/2008 14:32

lol how embarrassing.

I find it difficult to feel feminine because i am always in flats(usually trainers) so need some pretty ones.
size 8 btw.

Never trainers (unless for sport) - today I'm wearing black converse. I find ballet pumps really uncomfy - they always seem to rub on my feet - and they make my feet look huge. Flat toe post style sandals in summer. Next have lots but they are always so wide.

cluckyagain · 07/02/2008 18:08

Boots - loads of lovely style, low ish heel/flat ones.

Roobie · 07/02/2008 18:11

I'm 5'11" and tend to wear boots with jeans and knee length skirts. For work I wear high heeled courts as flat shoes look crap with a suit.

needmorecoffee · 07/02/2008 18:13

boots. Am 5 11. But I wouldn't wear heels anyhow. I'd fall over. In the summer I wear crocs

Beauregard · 07/02/2008 21:10

Link me to nice shoes

I'm tall, adn also a size 8 shoes. There is more choice now than there was a few years ago. I don't wear v. high heels, simply becasue I can't walk in them!
