I think my lack of style is aging me

I'm 26 but feel and look about 10 years older most days. I think besides the lack of sleep and the stress of looking after a toddler it's my lack of any sense of style that's aging me. I just seem to end up wearing the same old things: jeans, jumpers from Matalan etc and i feel like my mum!

would be v grateful for any tips on what to buy/ where to shop. just looking through the Boden catalogue and i was thinking 'would this make the problem worse or better?' see -i really am clueless!

if it helps i'm 5 ft 1, slim-ish size 10-12 but with a baby belly which just won't shift despite running and situps etc... boobs have shrunk from 34c (DD when breastfeeding) to barely 34b, so not great

I've just realised I should never have gone on this thread as I'm old enough to be the OP's mother (just )!

I think there are some lovely things here at the mo.

pippo · 08/02/2008 10:34

oops meant here

nailpolish · 08/02/2008 10:36

lol

pootleflump · 08/02/2008 10:43

I hate any heeled boots with jeans - unless the jeans touch the ground then I'd let you off.

Get some nice wide legged wool pants, shirt, tank top and some cream or white converse.

pootleflump · 08/02/2008 10:46

Thanks for that link pippo- looks like really nice stuff (especially menswear) for a great price.

Have you ordered from them before?

pippo · 08/02/2008 11:30

I haven't - one of my friends has ordered quite a bit from them before and said that the quality is reasonable. I seem to remember soemone on here saying that the tops were snug and bottoms were generous. Hoepfully I'll get to find out soon!

bozza · 08/02/2008 20:44

I've had some stuff from there and would definitely agree that the tops come up small. Also pootleflump I think you are agreeing with me re the length of jeans. I think long jeans and heels are the best look, unless it is raining, and then skinny jeans tucked in work well. I only have 1 pair of skinnys - cheap ones from Asda.
