In the spirit of not keeping things for “best” I’m WFH in a silk dress today. Although I’ve added a jumper as it’s quite cold in my house.

Love that pretty hand knitted sweeter. Am on the beginner slopes of knitting. I know they're horribly overpriced but I have a Wool and the Gang tank top to knit. It's an 'easy' level knit (I hope!!)

Awesome dress @OublietteBravo. New dress from Roseberry (I think that’s it). I just love the colour. Not sure it’s a flattering pic and it defo doesnt work with the black tights and Dune boots I had on at the time. Might put a belt with it next time.

I think it’s the belt @Puddinandpie, feels at odds with the buttons. You look fabulous nonetheless. You all do. Love watching this thread.

That leather skirt is really timeless and stylish @Sooverthemill . It looks like it could be styled with lots of things. I made the mistake of clearing out all of my ankle length skirts and dresses during the lockdown. Woe is me!
I am very impressed by your knitting skills. Have you always knitted, or did you learn later on in life? I would love to be able to knit useful items. I keep dropping hints to one of the librarians that I am on good chatting terms with. She often talks about different things to get different age groups into the library (we go to Lego club). Hopefully she will start a knitting club 🤞

You look very smart @Puddinandpie . I'm probably not the best person to make suggestions, as I need to wear dresses more often, but I don't as I don't feel well put together in them. I thought that your style yesterday with the leopard print (?) skirt was really nice and casual. Casual glamour (as they say on YT).

Your top is really cute @Greyhairwarmheart. It looks like it could work with a lot of your smart skirts.

I love the delicate nature of your top @toucaninjapan. Is it cashmere? The belt fits beautifully by the way. Thank you about the trousers. I am probably like many others who posses many skinny / slim fit trousers, and they are probably my go to in the mornings. I need to experiment with my bottoms more often, and like @OublietteBravo, not save dresses for best. But that it why it is encouraging to take part here and see all of the various ways to wear clothes. Photographing my outfits will help to keep my Mr Tumble/ Teletubby moments to a minimum.

@HorribleHisTories15 i learned age 7 at school but didn’t really take it until A levels . And then I knitted non stop until
I had kids when I didn’t have time. I’ve taken it up again in the last 6 years but it’s like learning all over again as there are so many different techniques eg knitting in the round top down that didn’t exist when I was young!

ask that librarian they would probably be keen to stray something that is requested and knitting is so popular.

I can’t quite work out if it’s warm enough for a linen jumpsuit. And it feels so odd not to be wearing boots!

I appreciate this isn’t an outfit. It’s the day to clean the entire house for the estate agent to take photos on Tuesday. DHs contribution so far is to say we have too many coat hangers and he doesn’t know what to do with them

Too many coat hangers? Obviously there aren't enough clothes to hang on them! I'd use that remark to my advantage!

@faffadoodledo has nailed it. There is no such thing as too many coat hangers, just not enough clothes….. get on the case @Sooverthemill, lol. I am off to get my hair cut later. Driving there in my new car, woo hoo! No more buses for me (got rid of my last car about 5 years ago but my new office is not compatible with public transport). Will post an outfit pic if I remember.

Made to the hairdressers after various shenanigans with various pets, lol. Trousers are very old French Connection, top is a Marks and Spencer’s one, but I have changed the neckline. Boots are Terry de Havilland old faves. Bag is an impulse I couldn’t control, lol, it’s one of the Strathberry with SJP colab bags - bloody love it. Ignore the dog toys and general mess - I probably have a dirty mirror too, lol.

@HorribleHisTories15 thank you for the outfit love, when you said lego club, I googled lego clubs for my area (never thought about it before hand🙈) my ds 11 is absolutely mad on lego, he makes stop motions with them "ready for when he creates his youtube channel" bless him!
@Cardigansalltheway hope you have a fab weekend away, remember to stay warm it's colder near the seaside 😉 (I lived near the seaside for 5 years and never failed to forget to wrap up warm, I was always freezing my ass off)🤣
@Purplecatshopaholic oh wow that must be fab to have a car now, we are in the midst of getting a car as we have also decided we're fed up of public transport, but it's proving costly with all the new ulez charges and trying to get a car within certain years to avoid paying them, especially that carries 4 kids and a dog too😁
