BUT, it needs to be reasonably priced. When I was financially secure, I used Bobbi Brown Oil, then discovered Primark balm to oil cleanser, but Primark is on the ban list. I use it with hot cloth. So, not overly perfumed and cheap. Any idea? I don’t like Superdrug vit e hot cloth cleanser. Any ideas?

The N7 balm is fabulous. I've used ££££ balms before, but this is better. The Body Shop chamomile is nice too.

SuperSange · 22/01/2023 19:04

The body shop camomile one is amazing

VerbenaGirl · 22/01/2023 19:06

If you can get it, Aldi have done a great one cleansing balm before - a total dupe of Emma Hardie. When I can’t get that or afford Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, the also do a decent hot cloth cream cleanser.

Here to confirm body shop camomile cleanser is a winner

FuckingHateRats · 22/01/2023 19:10

The Body Shop - Camomile one

Aldi one is great.

My fave of all time is the M&S Revive cleansing balm. It is heavenly and spa-like.

Nsws2015 · 22/01/2023 19:10

Simple oil cleanser is my fave

GuyFawkesDay · 22/01/2023 19:11

Body shop chamomile definitely

LikeSilver · 22/01/2023 19:12

The Body Shop chamomile one is nice as it doesn’t have the irritating exfoliating bits in that so many do. However if you’re looking for cheap, you can’t go wrong using plain old sweet almond oil.

WFHbore2023 · 22/01/2023 19:12

The Inkey List Oat Balm Cleanser is good, reminds me of Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm, but without the scent

NotEvenSlightlyReasonable · 22/01/2023 19:58

I like the Body Shop chamomile and use it when I can't get my favourite. That is M & S Pure, it's great, it's not crazy expensive but they aren't great with stock which is very annoying!

catmademedoit · 22/01/2023 20:14

The Ordinary Squalane cleanser

Glub on my fingers .. rub it in and it just oils into the skin , washes off with water

So nice and a great price ..

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 22/01/2023 20:14

sorry, Body Shop also on the banned list.
Our local boots stocks Inkey, so might look tomorrow , thanks everyone!

Inky List Oat Milk is a good cost effective one

SummaLuvin · 22/01/2023 20:20

reasonably priced is a little vague, really depends on what that means to you.

I love the Dear Klairs one which I would class is mid-priced. I find it is gentle, really cleanses, and doesn't leave that film feeling. Also like Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish.

Teenagekicksmyass · 22/01/2023 20:27

I recently discovered Sukin’s Super Greens Cleansing Oil. Leaves my skin clean, soft and hydrated, smells amazing and is £9.99 a bottle.

If I want a cleansing balm, I use the M&S Pure one.

geminiflanagan · 22/01/2023 20:31

For oil, the Superfacialist one. You can get in Sains, Boots (and probably lots of other places!) and it is often on offer. Bargain and lasts forever.

My ultimate is Jordan Samuel aftershow (not the sensitive one) but that's a little spendy. I buy when Cult Beauty have a sale on and it lasts forever. Makes a lovely face mask too with a couple of drops of oil mixed in.

SleekMamma · 22/01/2023 20:34

Aldi massive grey tub. Amazing stuff!

PacificState · 22/01/2023 20:35

I've been using pure almond oil as a face cleanser for about 5 years (I put some drops of essential oil in to give it a scent but obviously that's optional). A big-ish bottle (around £10) lasts me about 18 months. Wouldn't be advisable for oily/breakout skin but for my dry, meno skin it's been great - I've had lots of fancy cleansers in advent calendars/beauty boxes and always go back to it.

TwigsAndPebblyShit · 22/01/2023 20:36

Body shop camomile

PacificState · 22/01/2023 20:36

@OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow I've tried the BB oil cleanser - almond oil is similar, but thicker

For those who use pure almond oil how do you wash it all off?! Do you need soap to break down the oil? Or just a very hot cloth? I have a bottle in my bathroom cupboard that I'd like to use. The Emma Hardie balm is gorgeous, got it in an M&S advent calendar, but it's too pricey for me. Unfortunately I've never been able to nab the Aldi dupe.

Gufo · 22/01/2023 20:44

Lush Ultrabland is lovely

ithoughtisawapuddycat · 22/01/2023 20:45

I get the Clinique one but only buy when it's 20% off on ASOS.

PacificState · 22/01/2023 21:08

@LifeInAHamsterWheel I just use a hot cloth to wipe it off - no soap. It probably does leave a residue though - you don't get squeaky clean skin
