It was totally worth it for me.
Growing up with a mother and sister who loved style and fashion, and seemed to know instinctively what worked for them (and me) but could never explain anything about the seemingly magic process, I had resigned myself to being useless at 'this sort of thing'.
Knowing what would look good and having a wardrobe of clothes and accessories that all worked together and could produce a pulled together outfit for any occasion seemed an impossible dream for me, while seemingly effortless for them.
I was lucky enough to find a consultant who started in theatre design, making people age over the course of a single evening. The colour consultancy ran alongside a made made to measure clothes business.
She was able to explain the 'rules' very simply snd answer any question I ever had. Made planning my wedding and decorating my house so easy, too.
Nowadays, I know the rules for me so well that I don't even think about it. I would never buy anything with a high neck or something that was wide across the hips or in a colour out of 'my' range. I spend next to no time finding clothes in shops or online, it's so obvious what will work for me. I have a good outfit for any occasion, I enjoy putting on my clothes because they are so me.
All thanks to colour / style analysis.
I'm on record as saying that colour and style bring me way more benefits than even my MBA.
Of course, there will always people who know this stuff without needing any help with how it works. I'm like that with computers and needed help with clothes. I was very glad to find that such help exists.
