Has anybody tried this? A mystery bag for £29.95?
I’ve fancied a Roka backpack for a while but haven’t quite decided. They have this offer just now but I’m aware it could go disastrously wrong.

@Brrhitscold think it was close to the end, after you would expect, maybe even after payment & back to the retailer?

They're bloody indestructible so I can't even write off the one I am using.

Anyone done the sample sale and not got the aqua Finchley A?

You could stick it on eBay? Brand new Finchley A bags are currently selling at £50 to £60 plus postage?

I did it 2 years ago and got a large Canfield c in a nice cherry red. I use it for work as it fits my laptop and everything in comfortably. I did it again last year because I like the suprise of not knowing what's coming and got a large bantry in purple that dd has adopted. I then did it again this year figuring someone in the family would use whatever arrives and l I got the same large Canfield c again in black so my husband's delighted as he needed a new bag for work! So I've always had a large rucksack when I've done it and they've always been the same quality as the one I paid full price for. My mum did it this year and they sent her 2 small ones!

I would hope for something for my work uniform and lunch- do you think the small would be big enough?

I got two smaller ones this time. A Kennington B in graphite and a smaller one that I can't see on their website, like a rectangular Paddington in yellow. Last year I got a Bantry B medium in Marine, so I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting a brighter colour and a backpack. The Kennington is waterproof though, so I'll perhaps use it for work.

Finchley, not Bantry - they must have a lot of them!

You lot have dragged me into this!!! Just spent £30 on a surprise! I've never bought a Roka- this had better be good 😅

Agh now I'm tempted to go again as I'd really like a medium or large backpack.

@BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop A small one might be big enough I think, I'm always surprised at how much my small one holds... But I think it depends on which one it is! My small one is a Canfield b and it has the rollover top which you can then unroll to extend it if you want so I reckon it probably fits more in than some of the other small ones.

The small bags are 7.5 litres, medium are 14 litres.

I have a Bantry B which is good as a handbag - dimensions are 32 x 23 x 10 cm. Would be too small for uniform and lunch.

The Finchley A (small Finchley) that I’ve just received is slightly larger 34 x 25 x 12 and seems quite a lot roomier.

Mine's just turned up - I got a Bantry C Medium in graphite. I'm pretty pleased with it, though ideally I would have preferred a smaller bag.
I do quite enjoy a mystery purchase though, tempted to get another!

Ooh I'd love to get a bantry - especially like the avocado which is more moss coloured. Hoping it some a as quickly as the last one. Ridiculously excited to see what comes but mustn't buy another as I spent £200 on a blender today too!

I’m justifying my spend as I’ve realised the suitcase that I bought on TikTok is clearly a scam designed to trap people who may have had too much wine over Christmas- but at least I was sober enough to use my credit card just in case.

I’ve thrown myself on their mercy and asked to change mine as I’ve already got it!! I’ve also queried whether it’s really a “lucky dip” if everyone gets the same bag so quite pleased to see a bit of variety on here!

I've got the Finchley A in aqua too. Happy with that and tempted to try again but don't want the same thing twice!

It would be nice if you had the option to request preferred characteristics- backpack or crossbody, size, bright or muted colour- but then, why would they do that when we’re all jumping in anyway? 😁
