When do girls feet stop growing ?

My DD has size 5 feet and she's in year 5. I'm getting worried her feet are going to end up huge and she won't be able to buy nice shoes. It's already a challenge purchasing shoes that don't look too grown up. Can anybody tell me what age they stop growing ??

My daughters stopped at 12 when her period started. She's a size 8. It's not the end of the world, promise!

My dd had size 4.5 feet when she started her periods age 12, was a 5 shortly after. She is now 16 and a size 5 still. I have always been very hopeful she will stay a 5 because that is what I am, and it's handy being able to share shoes! But I know I was still growing after age 18.

I was a size 8 at 11 and still am at 43. (On the other hand DS1 is a size 6 in Y5 and boys feet do carry on growing until much later…😱).

My feet haven’t stopped growing yet and I’m 40.

I was a size 4 at 12, size 5 at 22, up a half size sometimes in my late 20s and hit a size 6 by 30, now I really need a 6.5 and my boots and running shoes are (mens) size 7s.

Size 7,8,9 are easy to find and often in the sale in the mens section.

I was a size 8 at 11
Now an 8.5

Please please don't comment on her feet or say anything to make her feel bad about them.

They have stayed a size 5 for almost 6 months so it's definitely slowing down !!

Dd1 was 13, she's still a 3. Dd2 wasn't much older, she's a 4

My daughters feet were always the same size as the school year she was in so year 7 she was a size 7. I think her feet stopped growing in year 8. She is 29yo and takes a 7-8 depending on the shoe.

I’m an 8 and there are definitely shoes. I do buy online (Amazon mainly) as shops can be a bit hit or miss. Free returns on prime stuff so it’s fine. I’m 5 11” so they are proportional.

Quornflakegirl · 10/06/2023 22:23

I do wonder this too. I have year 5 twin dds, both tall but the shorter of the two at 150cm is a size 6 already! Her sister is 158cm and only a 3.5. It’s weird how this has worked out.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 10/06/2023 22:25

I was a size 5 in year 5 and topped out at size 8.

Skechers come up big so might be worth a look if you're struggling with finding the right size and they do a range of school/work as well as trainers, ballet style and sandals.

See I have blooming paddles for feet. Trying to get wedding shoes was impossible....until I discovered a transgender shoe shop....I've being buying men's women's shoes ever since...they are sooooo comfy I ended up dying my white wedding booted heels after my wedding, they're black now and still going strong 18 yrs later!

After periods start, although they do slow down. Dd had size 4 feet in y5, and at 15 is a 6.

I dont think this is true. I didnt start my period until i was 17! And my feet are size 5 and have been since ~age 12.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/06/2023 07:19

I'm a size 9 and my feet stopped growing at 13.
DD is a size 8 at nearly 12.
