Excited as I just ordered myself a new bag, I could have spent a fortune but refrained.
has anyone else purchased a beautiful new bag?

Aspinall are really good quality. I have one, don't use it much though.

I have a red Lily, it's one of my going out bags. Love it.

I have an Aspinal purse and I really like it. I have been looking at the Lottie as an alternative to the Lily.

The red lily is gorgeous @HandbagsnGladrags.

@Whatsthestorymorningglory95 the Lottie is a lovely bag. I had a micro one and I loved it but it was just too small so I sold it. The standard size would be perfect.

@HandbagsnGladrags I did think the micro would have been a bit small for me. Shame I didn’t see any in the sale.

Haven't RTFT yet as I’m scared I’ll see lots of lovely bags. But did see a post about cavernous bags and never finding anything. My solution to that is 3 or 4 (or however many are needed) pouches, and nothing loose in the bag itself. Means I can always easily find what I want.

Love an Aspinal bag. Haven’t looked there either. 😔😔

Silver hardware is nicer imo too. The majority of my bags are pebble leather. Does anyone think the smooth leather marks easily?

I have been thinking about an Aspinal Lottie in place of a Lily as well! It’s slightly more structured than the Lily which I like.

They have this new clutch style too, I saw Zara Tindall wearing it recently. I’m hoping they will come out with a non quilted version soon!

I missed out on the Mulberry sale but have contacted the outlet store and got a Tessie Satchel and a Blossom tote. So excited to wait for them to arrive- my first Mulberry bag!!!!

Ladies I need your opinions please! I’ve bought 2 Aspinal bags in the sale but can only keep one.
—black portobello. I have been wanting a black bag for a while, I was looking at a Mulberry Lily but it’s out of my price range. This seems like a good alternative but only downside is no option of a shorter strap.

-Lottie in metallic blue. This is really beautiful but it’s obviously not black and I’m not sure how practical navy would be.

Help!

@bendmeoverbackwards - I love the colour of the blue-but I think the black is
more practical for everyday (but then I love a crossbody bag).

I'd say (as someone with a few Aspinal bags) keep the Lottie. I'd really like the black quilted Lottie myself but can't justify buying it as I don't use a handbag much any more as I have to schlep a laptop and other gubbins to and fro to work nowadays.

@bendmeoverbackwards Lovely choice of bags! I’ve got the Portobello in Bordeaux and love it! Such an easy bag to wear, great for dressing up or down. I think of your choices I’d go for the Portobello but that’s just because I find chain straps less appealing these days as I don’t go ‘out out’ much and my day-to-day style is getting more relaxed. I also think the black is a great colour and since you’ve been wanting one for a while that seems like the most natural choice. However, I do love a navy bag and it’s a great colour too, just as versatile as black, depending on what colours you tend to wear. So...can you justify keeping both?

It depends on what you need it for. I love the Lottie bag. But in that colour I would say it looks more ‘going out’ whereas the portabello is more everyday.
I have ended up on the coach sale and bought a madison pillow 18!

I don’t need any more every day bags. My thinking with the black mulberry Lily was that I’d have a small black bag that goes with everything and I’d use it more for going out.
