Yesterday I bought a new tube of 8 hour cream. In less than 24 hours it has fixed my chapped lips, healed my lingering angular cheilitis (Pringles mouth), sorted out my cuticles and generally made me as happy as can be. I'm slapping it on everything.

What are your hero products?

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Cream - the most effective foot cream ever (and better than the brand's actual foot cream)

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic - way better than Pixi and much cheaper

La Prairie loose face powder - an unsung hero, amazing stuff that comes in a huge pot WITH a travel size pot too

Giorgio Armani youth eye serum - the difference it makes is visible to your eyes AND bank account 😂

Hourglass Lip Oil - extortionate but worth it

Marc Jacobs eye liners and lip liners but sadly they stopped making his beauty range 😫

tigerbear · 17/12/2022 22:57

Blue pot Nivea is just great for everything.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 18/12/2022 09:35

Agree with PP Marc Jacobs eyeliners were brilliant. Have heard good things about Victoria Beckhams eyeliners but cba to spend that amount of money!

PerpetualStudent · 18/12/2022 09:42

This isn’t helpful but mine is a facecream made by a local company - it has a really simple/‘clean’ ingredient list with tonnes of aloe vera in it and it’s the best moisturiser I’ve ever used!

warofthemonstertrucks · 18/12/2022 10:59

Kerastase ultimate elixir l'huile originale hair oil. Tiny amount does wonders for my dry frizz. Spendy but a bottle last me a year.

I'm the PP who wanted to cry when MJ stopped doing make-up. I HAVE tried VB eyeliners (after seeing so many recommendation on S&B) and I was very impressed with how they went on. I don't think they have quite the staying power of MJ but they're not a bad replacement. I want to try VB lipliners next and I'm hoping they're half as good as MJ's as I just haven't been able to find a decent replacement for his lipliners at all (I had a stash but I've used them all up).

Estée Lauder Double Wear. Wore it in my thirties and early forties then stopped as it was looking cakey. Have recently gone back to it and now applying with my fingers rather than a brush and it looks good again.

Dove gradual tan - use it all year round and buy it every time I see it on offer.

luckylavender · 18/12/2022 17:07

Sudocreme

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict mascara
Rimmel Lasting Radiance foundation - now sadly not available in Australia, so I stockpiled while in the UK this year.
