I treat myself to a few things for Christmas before this shit show came to light. I never buy designer, these are the only designer items I have and now they will forever be associated with paedophiles. I'm gutted.

How is anything in that tik tok photo demonic? 🙄 It's like going back to medieval times where anyone could make shit up and no one questioned what they've being told. It's just jumping on one outraged bandwagon which will be abandoned as soon as another outraged bandwagon passes by.

Look at what is circled.

The black hood looks devilish
The child's shoes look like the devils face
The BAAL reference on the tape BAAL equals the devil

Etc

Fairy22 · 01/12/2022 12:28

It's very subtle but there

I love a bit of edgy fashion* but I wouldn’t want anything to do with Balenciaga right now!

trying for a refund seems like a worthwhile plan - if you’d bought them as gifts for family/friends you wouldn’t want to hand them over on Xmas morning now, so I expect you’ll be a drop in the sea of customers asking for their money back!

if no refund happens and your scarf/bag/slides are classic and Balenciaga cuts all ties with this stuff then maybe they’d be wearable in a few years time? The items won’t be immediately associated with the spring 23 campaign at least (and you can truthfully say they pre date it).

or if the bag is a lovely bag on it’s own merits perhaps you could remove the B logo and use it now?

*although the one £500+ handbag I own makes me feel really self conscious so I don’t get much joy out of using it. It’s an absolute beautiful object but it feels incongruous to my non-luxury life.

The black hood is just a black hooded cloak. It looks like something out of a fairy story.
How can you tell what is on the child's shoes?
The tape doesn't say Baal!! It says Balenciaga. Same as on the mat.
The teddy isn't demonic and neither is the kids picture of a person outside a house.
Talk about reaching.

Once you start basing your opinions on a blinking tik tok video, you're your losing grip on reality.

The tape doesn't say Baal!! it does , there are two AAs , there are clearer pictures on Twitter

Pineapple41 · 01/12/2022 17:03

DS owns one of their trainers

This made me laugh - are they so avant-garde that their footwear doesn’t come in pairs?!

On a serious note, designer logos aren’t my thing anyway but I certainly wouldn’t be advertising them after this. There’s an in-depth thread here for anyone interested in a deep dive (warning: parts of it are highly disturbing and distressing): mobile.twitter.com/curioslight/status/1596812625517498368

Once again, it’s a case of these people hiding in plain sight.

FurAndFeathers · 01/12/2022 22:39

I’ve not seen the images so it’s difficult to really understand the issue but it does seem a bit tin-foil hat.

I am ALL for child safeguarding but this seems dumb/misguided rather than malevolent to me.

or have I missed something

You need to go to Specsavers
Maybe the photo is a bit fuzzy but it's there. Find a better photo and see for yourself. It's subliminal

The tweet is no longer available - does that mean that the information has been 'silenced' or that it was false?

Noodlehen · 13/12/2022 08:37

If anyone wants to see the bigger picture look up @ natlydenise on Instagram.

to answer your question OP, I absolutely will not wear anything balenciaga. If you purchased from selfridges they will most likely take them back if unworn.

boboshmobo · 13/12/2022 18:55

Their stuff is hideous and so cheap looking for the price , that's reason enough not to buy it !

jays · 28/12/2022 22:15

You really have missed a lot. Deep dive into the court documents and the book on the table. It’s really bad. Seriously.
