Are there actually any so called superstay lipsticks that actually stay on?luke they say they will?

I am currently trying out the maybelline 24 lip stick- the one with the lip balm at one end. It’s only been 2 hours and it has already rubbed off the inner part of my lips leaving me with a not very attractive looking lip rim.
is there ANY brand that actually works?
I must be an excessive lip- licker or something 🤔?

Have you tried one of those lipstick over the top seal thingys. Think there’s one called lipcote or something

I recently tried the Maybelline vinyl ones that claim to last for 16 hours... they maybe don't last quite that long, but they are pretty good! Best ones I've tried so far.

I put MAC lipstick on at 7am this morning and was still visible at lunchtime. I've never found one to last all day though!

Yup the maybelline one upthread - I woke up after a particularly messy night out with it still in situ.

Lipcote is what you want. It's cheap and makes any lipstick stay for hours. You can find it in Boots amongst the nail accessories.

Another vote for the superstay matt ink one! Impossible to get off

either of these! They stay for ages. The lipsticks with balm top coat are always crap, don’t even bother. In a full day I usually touch up my lipstick maybe once if I’ve eaten something oily but that’s it if I use maybelline superstar or lip vinyl. Stila’s Stay All Day! It’s the only one I like because I hate how drying they usually are.

I have a tube of lip stain that lasts all day. Clarins it’s half size though I think I got it in a beauty calendar last Christmas.

My Nars velvet matte lipstick (pencil) always stays on and I wear a lot of lipsticks!

I have given up on trying to find a long lasting lipstick. I find the ones that are actually longlasting are like actual paint, as they dry they sort of shrink wrap your lips, and then they start to peel off they are like paint too.

And long lasting matte ones like Ruby Woo are just so drying and turn my lips to sandpaper.

I have found my best combo now is Lisa Eldridge lipstick, applied in a 2 or 3 very thin layers rather one thick layer straight on, a tiny bit of lip balm to stop it drying out and then reapply later on. Applying it thinly with my finger seems to 'push' it into the lips more, and it does seem to stay on better.

Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipstick! Once it dries it stays put and you need a good makeup remover to take it off.

Yes Stila is long lasting.
Sali Hughes recommended it in The Guardian.
So I bought a couple. Last ages but I found them very drying though.

I just got a couple of Laura mercier ones that are good. Velour extreme they are called.
I have that maybelline one you described and agree, it's awful

Ironically one of the longest lasting lipsticks I have is a super super cheap one from Superdrug- cost about 3 quid🤔

Can't guarantee it will stay all day but the only non drying matte one with staying power is the nars powermatte lipsticks.

I quite like the max factor ones (lip finity?)
