Where do you buy your bras?

Had a bra fitting for the first time in 6 years. Nothing I have is the right size. Quick look on M&S, Boux Avenue, John Lewis but not feeling inspired. Where do you usually buy your bras? Looking for DD+ ranges!

Boux Avenue for my nice ones and George for the every day ones. Their T-shirt bras are very good value for money and the lacy ones are very pretty - I think they're £10 for 2.

Bravissimo, the online help they offer is so good!
I've even had a virtual bra fitting with them and the bras that arrived fit me perfectly. They're expensive but lovely!

Belle Lingerie is my go to online 34E all the brands at really good prices. I presume they aren't the newest styles but I don't mind and neither does DH

Thanks everyone, off to do a bit of online shopping! Appreciate all your recommendations.

Elomi, just look for sales, will never buy any other brand now

Deathraystare · 13/11/2022 10:24

38G.

M&S online, Asos, Simply Be, Amazon. Primark in Summer (I buy the pull it over your head type then).

BamBamBilla · 13/11/2022 10:28

Panache cleo range are the only good shape for me so wherever stocks these. Sometimes bravissimo, brastop, Very or Panache online. Depends who has a sale on and where I can get hold of money off vouchers.

Shortandsweet20 · 13/11/2022 12:43

Bra stop has lots of different ones!

Carlycat · 13/11/2022 12:44

I like Next bras

QueueEtwo · 13/11/2022 14:41

I buy Fantasie bra's on eBay, new with tags much cheaper than the shops.

Just set up a search for your size.

Brandnewwoman · 13/11/2022 16:11

I love the brand Elomi ...I am a 36J so it used to be so difficult to get nice bras that looked good ,offered great support and were comfortable to wear .These have been a game changer for me.
I buy some in a small independent shop in town and pick up sale ones from E Bay .

RosesAndHellebores · 13/11/2022 16:20

Triumph Amourette I think it's called. M&S Wild Blooms is a close second. Nothing else fits. I'm a 36E.

DD wears Wild Blooms, 32H. She is not happy.

Cinnamonandcoal · 13/11/2022 16:59

Bravissimo, Freya, Panache, Curvy Kate, Elomi.

I'm a large size and when I've bought from M&S, Pour Moi and other brands which do my size the bras get uncomfortable quickly and don't last. All the above are generally excellent.

Curvy Kate does incredible things with firm stretch fabric and no underwrites. Elomi brilliant for plus size and nursing bras, the others are great too.

There is a very helpful and efficient company run from a farm (!) in Yorkshire; it's called called Ample Bosom. They sell a wide range, from fancy lace and underwires to simple cotton comfort/post surgery styles. Also swimwear and loungewear. www.amplebosom.com
Their postal catalogue must be the only one to combine details of lingerie with advertisments for on-farm holiday cottages.

SweepTheHalls · 13/11/2022 17:31

The Wacoal Factory shop if you are anywhere near Northamptonshire its well worth a visit!

TiptoeThroughTheToadstools · 13/11/2022 17:43

I like bravissimo and the bra stop

XingMing · 13/11/2022 18:20

Lucky to have an independent corsetiere and bra shop 10 miles away. I go there, she scrutinises fit and then offers alternatives to try out.

RosesAndHellebores · 13/11/2022 18:26

@Cinnamonandcoal I find Triumph and M&S wild blooms almost indestructible. I only ever buy a new bra when I have hospital appointment and know I'll have to undress. I haven't had to throw a bra away since covid started.

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/11/2022 18:46

Fantasie, Panache or Curvy Kate from Brastop. Check the reviews! I bought a Curvy Kate bra and all of the reviews said to go down aback size and up two cup sizes. It fits amazingly well. Brastop customer service is excellent too.

fjäl · 13/11/2022 18:53

Bravissimo. I like fantasie or panache. I can't buy from usual high street shops as have a small band size but HH cup and can't find bras in the likes of M&S

NotEvenSlightlyReasonable · 13/11/2022 20:12

Bravissimo. At 30 F, nothing much else fits! Even the fitters at M and S have said that they just don't make bras that fit me. It's expensive having big boobs.

Babasghost · 13/11/2022 20:15

Asda a are great for big sizes in great colours

MrsMigginsCat · 13/11/2022 20:24

Elomi either from our local independent lingerie shop, or from BraStop or eBay. I get the Matilda style as I am large of nork (36H) and they are the only ones that round up and separate rather than give me a boob shelf.

PaprikaPlease · 13/11/2022 23:13

I buy one perfect Rigby and Peller bra every couple of years.

PeloFondo · 13/11/2022 23:23

I only wear Elomi plunge bras as they fit me so well!
