Blusher that won't make me look embalmed?

I don't want anything with any sparkle in but don't want to look embalmed either and am struggling to find something. I'm in my 60s and Nars, Charlotte Tilbury too sparkly/to dead looking. I have very combination skin - dry cheeks and very greasy t zone . Any ideas? Also could do with foundation recommendation. BB cream too greasy, foundation too thick or turns into an oil slick. I used to love Lili Lolo mineral foundation but since menopause altered my skin type that doesn't seem to work either. I'm truly stuck. I'm fair skinned with I think cool undertones. TIA

Visited the Bobbi Brown and Mac counters today and ended up getting the Mac mineralise blush which looks lovely. I also noticed the woman who helped me was wearing the shade of lipstick I’d been trying to find but have so far failed . It looked perfect with their gloss over it which was part of an offer of a set with the lipstick, gloss, setting spray, mascara and eyeliner for £39 which I got. She gave me a set with samples of the strobe cream, primer and foundation which I’ll try tomorrow. I put the strobe cream on as moisturiser this evening and it feels lovely - not greasy but quite hydrating. I hope the foundation is as good as the rest of the things I’ve bought. Thanks so much for the recommendations. It’s been so helpful and when I looked in the mirror after the blusher and lipstick had been applied in Boots, I totally look less embalmed.

Oh was it the kit that had Mehr lipstick in it? I was eyeing up that set! Haven’t used strobe cream in years, you’ve made me want to get some more! Glad you had a successful shopping trip

glad you found something @Suboptimalsitch ! Just to say, although I’m younger than you I have still had changes to skin that have made it hard to find products and my solution with foundation is actually to blend my own products.

For the past year I have mixed Heliocare365 tinted Factor 50 gel (it’s very light and non greasy, more like a tinted moisturiser) with YSL le teint foundation and the texture is perfect for me. So it might be that finding a good shade in one product and mixing it with something like a moisturiser you like or a sunscreen will give you a better finish.

I tried a cream blush pot by ELF after years of wearing loose powder blush and was really impressed with it.
Because it wasn't expensive, I didn't mind taking a chance and now I've got 2 different colours. They're very buildable

I used everything today and am really impressed. The lipstick and gloss have really good staying power (only downside is the gloss is really sticky and my hair kept sticking onto my mouth which isn’t great). The foundation is very nice and the blush . I definitely don’t look like I’m ready for the chapel of rest in it.

the set on offer is this one. I’m not sure I’ll use the mascara or eyeliner because I think they will give me panda eyes. I’ve not even found a tubing mascara that seems to not cause that. Bobbi Brown was the best but I couldn’t get it off again properly. I might try sell the eyeliner and mascara on eBay.

Im so glad I started this thread because I’d not have tried the products I’ve E ended up getting. Thanks everyone,
