DH has a final round interview today. So naturally I’m the one in the smarter outfit (well, perhaps not the boots)!

First time in a few days wearing proper clothes:

Todays "loungewear" and what I'm wearing to ride.

Leggings - Amazon

Normally I'd just whack a coat over the top to ride (lazy) but I'm doing fast work today so need some butt grip!

Hat - gatehouse
Boots - premier equine
Coat - musto
Breeches - derby house

I've always felt slightly sorry for the men in my life who've got excited that I ride and have jilly cooper cover visions.

The mud covered, slightly smelly reality is always disappoints

@Puddinandpie I'm not a big fan of this particular shade of neon on your skirt, but love the dress on you as well as your jewellery.

Fab outfits everyone - it was freezing this morning but I'm now boiling (probably because horse was extremely enthusiastic about going fast)!

Couple of outfits from yesterday. Dress was a bnwt charity find that I'd wear without the jeans and jumper. Everything is charity now I look at it.

Jeans - hush - these are so so comfy
Blue top - oasis
White jumper thing - the white company
Dress - topshop
Books - dickens and Jones

I now we are all supposed to wear flat shoes but given that I normally look like I do today which is very much function over style I've decided I'm wearing heels of sorts this winter.

I really want a pair of tan riding style boots - but they all look like my actual riding boots so I just can't.

@Shannith love the dress, sod flats I used to wear flats all the time, but now I have cankles because it has dropped my achilles so I literally wear heels all day everyday now (and plus it makes me nearly as tall as my ds 13 who is catching up to daddy 6,3 at a very fast pace, so it means I'm no longer "short mummy")🤣

@toucaninjapan that Uniqlo fleece is SO warm - I'm seriously considering getting it in another couple of colours. Not the most glamorous item of clothing but sometimes practicality wins!

Much colder today, lots of lovely cosy outfits. @Shannith love that dress - I also wear heels when I can be guaranteed not to have to walk for miles. @Puddinandpie do you have a link for that leather skirt? @QuietNeighbour your dress and jumper look great together.

@WestrayWife I bought it at their store in King's Cross, about a month back just haven't got round to wearing until now, I've tried to see if they have it online but they don't seem, to its a west 14th and its got pockets but you can't tell because of the belt I have added!

@Shannith I have those star jeans from years ago - so comfortable I still love mine!

Last leather skirt I had was knee length pencil from Jigsaw in black but it slit slightly up the back and didn't look as nice so rather than repair it I ebayed or charity shopped it.

@GonnaGetGoingReturns no its none of them unfortunately, like I said it was bought in their store so it may have been an exclusive to store, I know they do that, I've bought stuff before in there and tried to check for different sizes online for sis in law and realised they haven't sold online so had to go back to store! (Which was a pain in the ass, but shes worth it) it was a present to me from dh so it was a hefty price (£749, gulp) but I do bloody love it😁

!!!£££$$$!!! I’ve never invested in leather (apart from shoes of course). I had a vinyl pencil skirt once which looked fab but it squeaked with any movement so I had to ditch it.

I am cold because I forgot to bring a cardigan or blazer to work.

@QuietNeighbour lol! I had tight faux leather trousers years ago when I was in my teens and they literally farted when I moved it was awful, and then I saw friends with Ross wearing leather pants and literally laughed my head off as that was me! I never wore them again instead I do leather skirts that aren't tight, i'd have my kids in stitches otherwise🤣
