@Purplecatshopaholic and @Greyhairwarmheart love the cords by the way

@toucaninjapan I was looking at another thread recently and someone had linked a body shape calculator and mine was a spoon🥴 also known as pear-shaped (big bummed)
Those trousers look great on you anyway whatever the kibbe says🤷‍♀️

faffadoodledo · 24/10/2022 17:24

Hi @Niftythrifter
I'd love to see some pics of your outfits. I have a beautiful vintage shop in my town, and I've bought several dresses for big nights out. But I completely fail when it comes to day to day dressing. You obviously have some good shops near you!

Sooverthemill · 24/10/2022 17:49

@faffadoodledo @Shannith used to be regular on here and she has the most amazing eye for a charity shop bargain!

faffadoodledo · 24/10/2022 17:56

Yes I remember, @Sooverthemill
It's nice to see how posters can look fabulous in second hand. I did get a great cord jacket and a velvet one recently from my vintage shop. I shall have to snap them to show them off. I wouldn't call them bargains though.

EnoBaby · 24/10/2022 18:44

Ladies, my Vinted profile is now live.

Sorry if I'm rule-breaking by posting a link here but would appreciate feedback from seasoned Vinted users re. my listings (photos, pricing, etc.).

EnoBaby · 24/10/2022 18:46

Also, received this message - is this a genuine sale or a scam? Been on Vinted an hour and I'm already confused!

Puddinandpie · 24/10/2022 18:59

@Cardigansalltheway you have inspired me to order a satin skirt in bright green, I've got others in muted colours but a splash of colour looks great 👌

Pashionforfassion · 24/10/2022 19:20

Everyone has some really nice outfits on here over the last few days

I'm getting trucker vibes @Sooverthemill with the last 2 outfits
And I really like @Cardigansalltheway outfit today very cool

Softpebbles · 24/10/2022 20:12

I don’t ever go into links @EnoBaby just go into the app and look at your messages and notifications. That will tell you if you have a sale.

HippoHips · 24/10/2022 20:50

I’m a longtime lurker who loves keeping an eye on the outfits and brands in this thread; as you have all given me amazing inspiration and the confidence to try new styles. Enobaby I am stepping out the shadows just for you though as I’m pretty sure you are about to get scammed by that message! I sell quite a bit on Vinted and I have never had a notification like that! I have always just received an email or notification saying I have sold an item and, if the buyer has purchased shipping which they always do, directing me to the shipping label. You cannot withdraw any funds until the item has been confirmed as received and OK by the buyer so that message just screams scam! Please don’t use it 😥

On a selling note you have some lovely items and good photos but if you can I’d use a plain neutral background for all the pictures, as I think the patterned backdrop is slightly distracting when the items already have prints. I think clean and uncluttered shots help you sell so much more on Vinted.

Right, am back off to the shadows 😛I might one day have the confidence to post a photo of my own wardrobe but in the meantime ladies you are all genuinely fabulous and this is one of the loveliest threads on Mumsnet. If you had any idea of how many of your outfits I’ve tried to recreate (normally courtesy of Vinted) you’d all consider taking out a HippoHips restraining order! 😂

EnoBaby · 24/10/2022 21:17

Don't worry @HippoHips, my common sense was clearly active this evening and I didn't follow the link.

Fortunately sold an item after that, which clued me into the automated but/sell process. Just got to get the posting sorted.

Do the Evri post shops do label printing?

HippoHips · 24/10/2022 21:31

@EnoBaby I am not sure about Evri. They do for Yodel but I tend to print Evri labels at home. Evri give you free postal bags if you need them though (a fact I only discovered recently) so it’s worth checking with your local post shop if you need one. Be warned though that ‘In Post’ in particular, and occasionally Evri, have been shocking at losing Vinted parcels recently. I have turned ‘In Post’ off as a shipping option as they got so problematic. I would also turn off Royal Mail if you can too. Buyers can’t purchase Royal Mail postage via Vinted themselves, which makes it more expensive for you when you’re selling and trickier to track if you have buyers who are not honest in declaring that parcels have arrived. Hope that helps 🤗 Best of luck with it all! Xx

Puddinandpie · 24/10/2022 21:31

@HippoHips awww, what a lovely thing to say you should defo do pics so we can see all those lovely outfits😍
@EnoBaby not sure where you are but if you can't print labels inpost is brilliant because you just sort out address etc and find a locker locally to put it in, the pick up person attachs labels and does everything else, just a thought!😁

Puddinandpie · 24/10/2022 21:35

@HippoHips I did not know that about inpost never had any problems with them, maybe it's different areas, I know people who have had problems with evri but in my area no problems! god knows what there all doing with the parcels🤷‍♀️

HippoHips · 24/10/2022 21:40

@Puddinandpie Maybe it’s another Style and Beauty lurker that’s snaffling them all so they can recreate the outfits on this thread too! 😂

Sickoffamilydrama · 24/10/2022 22:07

Someone asked me about the cord mint Velvet skirt but can't find who now! It's not this season but they do this shape in various colours/material regularly.

Yesterday's outfit
We managed to avoid the huge storm ⛈️ that hit the south coast which we were all pleased about and had a good indoor view of it!

Jumper Me+em

Back home this afternoon everyone seems to have got their clothes grubby so loads of washing to do!

This skirt came from Vinted it still has the labels in from Very.

I thought I'd love and it would look wow but I'm not really sure I do, it doesn't work that well with the blazer I planned to wear it with as well 🤦‍♀️

Maybe I am being fussy!!

Absolutely love it with the red blouse @Sickoffamilydrama!

EnoBaby · 24/10/2022 22:20

That skirt looks fantastic on you @Sickoffamilydrama!

I'd go for a sheer navy shirt with it.

Puddinandpie · 24/10/2022 22:29

@HippoHips by golly you've got it another mystery solved!!🤣 maybe it's the delivery men!!!??

Puddinandpie · 24/10/2022 22:31

@Sickoffamilydrama that was me!! Also the second pic with the red blouse looks absolutely fab!!

EllaPaella · 25/10/2022 07:33

Love the skirt @Sickoffamilydrama
If you want to wear it with the blazer you could maybe get it taken up a bit, i think it needs to be a bit shorter to work with a longer blazer.
Or just leave it as it is as it's perfect on you - agree it would look lovely with a navy blouse.

I'm just catching up as I am currently in Scotland on a week long tour in my camper van. Currently up in Arisaig - absolutely stunnjng and beautiful. Pitched up right on the beach and swimming in the sea right in front of the van everyday. Just me and the kids, it's been a mission and a lot of driving but loving every minute. You are definitely not seeing my outfits as i have been wearing the same pair of jeans for days! I have two lovely warm jumpers from Suoerdry that I bought with me that have been sturdy and warm (see link) in navy and oatmeal. My fur lined DM chelsea boots have been amazing and far warmer and more waterproof than my walking boots! https://www.superdry.com/womens/jumpers/details/206063/tweed-ribbed-crew-neck-jumper-grey

Omg you're brave @EllaPaella
The last time we took our van to Scotland (June 2021) it was so damp the vehicle ended up smelling of mushrooms!
