Half serious/half joking.

My granny used to have one handy all the time. Cool evenings outside, over her nightie, sitting watching tv in the evenings. I know a cardi does the same but I really fancy a shawl...

I wear my at home while working. Likely to wear my sontag shawl instead of a coat on milder days.

We'll be wearing nanan housecoats too to save on washing and wearing rollers in our wet hair to save on electric.

What about a muff anyone?
Bridesmaid 3 times. Wore bloody bottle green (Irish winter weddings) but at least I had some good muff/bonnet combos.

I bought a plain, very thick black fleece poncho with a rollneck 3-4 years ago as a work colleague liked having the windows open in winter and it was the eaiest solution I could come up with. Then covid came and more windows were open. It's still coming in very handy indeed now I wfh!

Um.... why not just wear an extra jumper?

I do think there is a good argument for a well insulated muff.

Better than gloves in these days of touch screen phones.
