This is the year I finally buy good boots !! Help please.

Hi, really struggle with winter clothes and footwear.
I am pale wirh red hair and i do not suit black, or brown and only a bit of grey.
As such , the colours I like dont go with black or brown footwear .each year i make an expensive boot purchase mistake.
I like style of docs , but dislike the yellow stitching and the tag on the back of ankle.
Does anyone know any doc like boots without the yellow stitching in black ( too harsh mainly but cd wear with grey ?l brown or burgandy.? I did buy green boots last year but will give to charity as are a bit odd! Thanks !

CTPT i really like those. My only concern is they arw listed as spring and summer season .. do you think ok for winter . What wd i put on my legs with a pale boot please?

Solovair every time. If you can get to the shop in Wollaston, there is an outlet side that is about half price. Lovely range of colours, and if you measure your feet, they'll be able to advise on sizing. (They are much better quality than Docs, fully hand made in England, the customer service is second to none - you should see what they can do with a knackered old pair to being them back to life!!)

Another vote for grenson. I have 2 pairs nanette and am hoping the for my birthday I get enough cash for presents to buy another pair in the sales.

Bloody love em, no breaking in, last for ages and ages and look fabulous all the time.
I also have uggs, not all uggs are those original style, plenty look better than the original.

Love a pair of Grensons BUT recently bought some Lanx boots and love them too..take a look at their website. Similar styles to Grenson but a bit cheaper.

I am also fair ( blonde not red head) and similarly can’t wear black clothes etc.

Most useful boots I’ve found colour wise is the deep burgundy. I actually need some new boots and am gutted those Toast solovair aren’t in stock in my size!

You can probably wear them if you have a paler colour closest to your face. So a black jumper with a white/ivory/cream (depending on your colouring) blouse etc.

Another vote for both Solovair btw. Doc Martens have outsourced production to the Far East and the quality has tanked.

I don’t wear much black either (auburn hair and fair skin) and wear my cherry red vegan DMs loads. I also have these in tan brown, but they do a cherry version too which are gorgeous.

I don’t think you can go too wrong with lace up boots in a tan, brown or dark red as they go with lots of other colours.

With size 4 feet, you'd fit the DM kids range, which they do with black stitching for school.

Grenson all day long. Mine are four years old and look brand new.
