Snag tights, are they worth the money?

Just that really. I've always struggled to get normal ones to fit properly without sagging and wrinkling. Are these any good?

I found them to be ok. I would normally buy next ones and they’ve got jumbled together- I can’t tell which are which now so I think I’ll just go back to getting next ones.

I'm 5'3 & size 12 so A/B in their sizes - very comfy, stay up & good thickness so the colours don't fade out on the knees. I started buying them when M&S stopped doing funky colours & designs (still nursing 2 pairs of 2012 Union flag ones along & was gutted when I laddered my London skyline one). In previous years I've purchased 3-6 pairs - I do love the colours & they wash really well - raspberry pie & beach bum (bright teal) are my favourites & I have a fab pair with one leg of each colour.

But I've not purchased any since Feb this year as they seem to have lost focus / not had that many new colour ranges out as in previous seasons & are trying to sell me other items of clothing. I'd happily give them more money for some more pastels.

The wide choice of sizes - both height & width is popular with a lot of my differently sized friends.

I did have issues with a lot of their "body positive / niche porn" pictures appearing on my FB feed but they've created a specialist group for that stuff now. It did adversely affect sales to smaller ladies as I've had several people tell me they thought they were a plus size clothing brand when they've like my tights

Ok great; I've just started wearing a dress instead of tunic/trousers (nurse) because they fit better, but I'm struggling to find tights which fit both my waist and legs, and don't keep either cutting me in half or sliding down so the gusset is by my knees!
What are the 80D black like?

i think the quality must be really variable because the 5 pairs I bought all laddered on the first wear.

Hardbackwriter · 21/08/2022 14:35

I like but don't love mine. I find they stay up and in place better than any other tights I've tried (I'm 5'10, size 12 so found that my tights would always try and work their way down my legs in the course of the day) but like others I didn't find they washed brilliantly - I was really careful with them but I had three pairs and they all developed (ironically) snag lines after washing.

PeloAddict · 21/08/2022 14:45

They fit. Which is unlike all others I've tried! I'm 5ft 10 and the standard biggest size in shops, the crotch is halfway up my thighs
I don't buy them because they're super special but because well, I want to wear tights and I can't find any others that fit

Invest in a few pairs of good quality leggings - try snag tights leggings or M&S and pair with some nice tunics that u can dress up with accessories and nice chunky shoes or dress down with trainers. Simply be has some lovely tunics.

Something like this, simple but smart and adaptable.

I am interested in these - how are they different to bog standard tights?

Because they fit and are nice and soft

Bagofweasels · 18/02/2023 19:31

I don’t like them, they go saggy on the leg, they are soft though. I only wear Heist tights now, they are amazing, stupidly expensive but worth it because they last forever, don’t ladder and still look new after chucking them in the washing machine and dryer (I think you are probably meant to hand wash or delicate wash them but I don’t) I’ve got three pairs and had them well over a year I wear them constantly, they are soft like the snag ones but don’t go saggy and even though they aren’t supposed to be control tights the high waist ones do give you a nice shape.
