Snag tights, are they worth the money?

Just that really. I've always struggled to get normal ones to fit properly without sagging and wrinkling. Are these any good?

I didn't find them any better than 'normal' tights tbh. I did fancy the chub rub shorts but not if they're the same fabric as the tights.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/08/2022 08:28

I’m 5”2 and a curvy 12/14 and they’re the only ones I’ll buy now. Plus the chub rub shorts.

Its not just marketing, they’re actually made in different sizes moving width ways whereas most are just shorter for smaller sizes and longer for bigger sizes

Fozzleyplum · 20/08/2022 08:42

What are they like if you need the length rather than the width? I'm tall with long legs and big feet, so my main issue is that if I buy tights to suit my dress size (10), they are so short that they work their way down and hurt my feet. Would Snag be any good for me, or would they be too baggy?

Awful IME. I’m not tall but I have long legs for my height. I’m a size 10 too (and have small feet). The smaller size is baggy at the ankles on me.

SudocremOnEverything · 20/08/2022 09:04

Smallest not smaller

CaptainCallisto · 20/08/2022 09:06

I can't comment on smaller sizes, but as a 5'11" size 18/20 they are the only tights I've ever found that actually fit. No more having to wear a pair of big pants over my tights in an attempt to keep them up! No more feeling like I have to wear trousers all the time. I have finally been able to go back to the style of clothes I love, and always wore until I got so big, and my confidence has soared. Absolute game changer for me.

Phrenologistsfinger · 20/08/2022 10:00

I didn’t like them - fit wasn’t anything to write home about (am hourglass size 16-18), texture was rough, crotch sagged despite good fit and they laddered really quickly (maybe even day 1).

plus they have dubious politics and creepy ads that give me the ick!

I’ll stick to my preferred brands I think (M&S luxury, Falke) and Big Bloomers for chub rub shorts. Although wfh more now so will downgrade the number I have - they take ages to wear out as my M&S ones last years!

Phrenologistsfinger · 20/08/2022 10:04

I was annoyed because I liked the colour range btw and the ones I tried were teal/blue which isn’t easy to find in a lot of ranges.

justanotherlaura · 20/08/2022 10:06

I love them, I've got pairs I've worn for 2 years and still going strong. I'm still fitting in my usual size at 30 weeks pregnant. I used to wear pants over my tights to stop them riding down at the crotch and don't have to do that anymore with snag. I also really like the chub rub shorts, I'd had a pair for ages and not tried them but wore them on holiday for the first time this year and they've been a godsend with this hot summer we've had. I only own snag tights now

LaunchingTeabag · 20/08/2022 10:07

I like them. Size 12, 5ft 7, bit of a belly. They stay up, wash well, fit well.

I like their fishnets and footless tights best.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 20/08/2022 10:07

Absolutely the best tights I've ever had. Stay exactly where they should with an active job, rarely need to adjust & really comfy.
Only dislike is the navy blue are quite navy enough for me.

Sandysandwich · 20/08/2022 10:11

I really like them,
I got the baggy ankles at first but now they make kids tights I buy those and they are brilliant.
Kids ones go between 125cm and 180cm and they don't ladder or get bobbly or staticy in the wash and they last for ages.

StillSmallVoice · 20/08/2022 10:15

I had about six pairs. Every single one got a hole in the toe and they started falling down after a few washes. Don't understand the love unless you are too big or small for standard sizes elsewhere.

AmbushedByCake1 · 20/08/2022 10:25

They are normal bog standard tights. They didn't last long and I wouldn't buy again. I live in tights in winter. My favourite spendy brand is Wolford. My favourite bog standard type right is Tesco F&F luxury.

bananaboats · 20/08/2022 11:17

I like them, I have a pair of the tights and a pair of the shorts. Very comfortable and the tights have lasted for ages and still look like new.

this was my reason for ordering them too.

I found they didn’t wash well either.

Hungryharriet · 20/08/2022 11:40

I like the quality of them, I have several pairs in different colours. Some do wrinkle a bit but I think I bought the wrong size.

Macaroni46 · 20/08/2022 12:13

ApolloandDaphne · 20/08/2022 07:40

I love mine. The chub rub shorts have been a game changer this summer. I've loved being able to wear dresses with no chaffing.

This! I've worn dresses almost every day this summer thanks to chub rub shorts. I've got six pairs in various colours.
Also, when there was a problem with one pair - they basically ripped at the seam the first time I put them on - the customer service was brilliant. No quibble. Just a choice of refund or replacement. And apologies too. Bloody marvellous!

I can see if one were a very non- standard size they might be useful but otherwise I'm not convinced they're worth the money.

I'm 5'5" size 14. I wear dresses all the time which means tights most of the year and opaques from around September/ October until at least April. I've got bog standard supermarket and M&S opaques which are years old and fit well, no bagging and sagging.

SushiShopSearch · 20/08/2022 13:52

I would never buy anything from them. Their ethos and pornified marketing is not for me.

FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall · 20/08/2022 13:56

I'm in no way a big woman (5ft tall, 8st) and I love them. They fit really well and the quality is great. They wash and wash without fading, pilling or becoming misshapen.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 20/08/2022 14:28

Mine wash brilliantly. They also have a label at the back, which means you can always wear them the correct way round, which stops any extra heel wear/bulges showing at the front of the foot.

Bigclockface · 20/08/2022 18:38

Yes they are worth it. They are very stretchy but stay in place. It seems to be a brand some people love to hate though. Had one pair get a hole on the first wear, they were replaced with no issue. Mine will be on their 2nd and 3rd winters this year.

SmallPiecesOfGlitterAreSomehowEverywhere · 20/08/2022 18:42

They're brilliant and their leggings are game changers. THEY'VE GOT POCKETS, PEOPLE. I don't rate the tshirts (too short on me) and I've not tried anything else. I WANT a dressing gown though. But yeah, the tights are ace.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 20/08/2022 23:33

I love their chub rub shorts but think their tights are rubbish.
The thigh area rubs very thin very quickly, and I find they got holes in the feet very quickly.
I could have M&S tights for a couple of years without getting these issues.
