My goodness. I should never have got the sample

I can't really afford to like it Grin

It is a fruity floral with a lot of patchouli. A very heavy perfume.

I don't like the entire genre of frootichoulis and POAL is really no different to many others of this type, but I have a bottle of this because it is really a masterpiece of blending and because the ingredients are absolutely, noticeably top quality. It is the pinnacle of its genre.

I still don't like it and I wouldn't wear it.

@LadyWithLapdog Madonna Truth or Dare, if you haven't already tried it might be good for you.

LadyWithLapdog · 10/08/2022 22:13

@AreolaGrande thank you. I’ll have a look. I like tuberoses and gardenias.

LadyWithLapdog · 10/08/2022 22:19

@AreolaGrande i wonder if it’s discontinued as it seems to be only on eBay.

AreolaGrande · 10/08/2022 22:24

big bottle here but you can get decant on ebay and etsy to try first.

I've pretty much stopped buying full size bottles of fragrance these days and just live out of my decant drawer!

LadyWithLapdog · 10/08/2022 22:30

@AreolaGrande thanks, that’s quite pricey. I’ll see if I can smell it in John Lewis or somewhere else first. I’m also not buying till I finish what I have.

AreolaGrande · 10/08/2022 22:37

Good plan @LadyWithLapdog 🙂

I went a bit mad earlier this year and spent £££ on a full bottle of vintage Dior Addict (my all time favourite scent) on ebay and have vowed no more big bottles for a long while.

RejectedFleece · 11/08/2022 13:21

I really can't understand the love for this scent..find it really horrid.

SizzlerFizzler · 11/08/2022 13:25

Perfume is so subjective. I was dying to try Le Labo's Santal 33 expecting it to be amazing after reading so many rave descriptions of it. But it was just 'meh'.

One woman's Poison is another woman's poison I suppose. Wink

AreolaGrande · 12/08/2022 20:59

@SizzlerFizzler Santal 33 is straight up pickle juice 🥒 on me. Not good.

MissBattleaxe · 13/08/2022 08:41

Two that are similar, or at least cousins to it are 4160 Tuesdays Court of Ravens and Floral Street chypre sublime. Both great quality, long lasting and less than £100.

Popsicle33 · 13/08/2022 16:48

I bought it blind and it arrived today - thankfully I LOVE it!

spagbog5 · 15/08/2022 12:34

I love it and wear it a lot .
I also have lipstick rose which is gorgeous too.

Popsicle33 · 16/08/2022 03:43

Unfortunately I can't smell it on myself after about 5 minutes!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 16/08/2022 04:24

I love it, but my husband asked if I’d overdone the zoflora.

Possiblynotever · 16/08/2022 04:47

Does it remind you of the old Nahema by Guerlain?
