Is this dress stylish or just odd?!

Looking for advice on whether to keep or return this dress (excuse the rubbish photo!) It’s lovely cotton and I think the print is gorgeous BUT it’s totally unlike anything I’d normally wear (jeans/shorts/miniskirts) and I’m not sure if it’s stylish or just makes me look a bit bonkers (my DC laughed when I tried it on and said it made me look “like an old woman from the past” 😳 Is it really that bad? And how would you style it if not? TIA!

It's the kind of dress I would try on, think "ooh, I look nice in this", but never actually end up wearing it, cos I like to get my legs out or show my figure off and as nice as I'd look in whatever it is, I'd always revert to your. See also: maxi dresses that live in my wardrobe, get tried on once a year but never make the cut.

It looks beautiful. Don't ever doubt yourself! If you like it then that should be reasonable enough to keep it (and wear it!) but if I had a lovely slim figure (I used to - RIP) I'd wear that dress for every possible occasion (even just putting the bins out and doing a twirl for the neighbours 🤣)
