Perfect lipstick?

Hi,
I have tried (and mostly failed) to find the perfect lipstick for me for the last 30 years. I don’t wear anything on my lips usually but I want to find a nice cerise/bright darkish pink to wear. Is there a good beauty counter that I can visit? I have tried the ones online and the shade seems to suit me (I am a cool winter) but whenever I buy one it’s too bright or has too much brown in it. Any recommendations?

Thanks @Topcat9876 ! I have tried pillowtalk but my natural lip colour is darker so I don’t find it flattering.

Mac Mehr is gorgeous, matte full coverage lipstick in a pretty pink. For a sheerer lighter look try Lisa Eldridges Lucent lipsticks.

Tom Ford makes the perfect lipstick. It is so expensive but seriously worth it. I've got two and wear them a lot - the first lipsticks I have ever felt inclined to wear regularly.

off topic but please tell me all your secrets OP. I am 38 with a forehead That makes me look like Gordon Ramsey’s pre-Botoxed twin and quite frankly would sell my soul to look as good as you. Not that I’m vain or anything 😂

I'm a Jewel Winter, but don't fit the traditional mold. My natural hair now is largely silver, but it was brown with a slight chestnut tendency. I have freckles and tan, but I definitely suit winter colours, and am complimented when wearing them.

My go to lipstick tends to be Maybelline Lover - it stays put all day (I'm super lazy when it comes to lipstick), and I tend to get compliments, so I guess it's doing the right thing. I used to wear Mac Plumful, but I think it's discontinued. I also wear Lipstick Queen Frog Prince for a lighter option (it adapts to be the right pink for you).

Oh no! I love Mac Plumful. It's my no 1 lipstick.

Thanks so much! I said upthread, but basically my anti ageing started at aged 16, wearing spf 50 every day.
Other than that, a tiny bit of filler in my lines, a thread lift, micro needling, laser (not since the thread lift) and a tiny bit of Botox on my frown line (not enough to remove it completely)
plus daily AHA and microcurrent. I’m high maintenance!

@GrimDamnFanjo I'm not a massive lipstick wearer anyway, so haven't tried to replace Plumful. I tend to just stick with Frog Prince or Maybelline Lover if I want something that stays on.

Bobbi brown rose blossom is nice

@GrimDamnFanjo Mac Captive is quite similar but a little darker. I liked Plumful partly because it was so low maintenance.

Clinique pop in plum pop is low maintenance and lovely.

Check out the NYX matte suede lipsticks (not the liquid ones). They have lots of colours (including those you are after) and the formula is amazing.

It’s never too late! But I have upped my preventative treatment as time has gone on.
This is my AM routine -
Glycolic, then Aloe gel and microcurrent treatment. Wipe off with glycolic.
Serum, rose oil, eye cream (any), SPF then lip treatment cream.
I’ve attached a pic of the products and the order I use them in. If you’re interested I will post my evening routine. This is me with no filter and no makeup this morning. I’m considering under eye filler as I am really unhappy with the loss of volume there. I am going for a micro needling appointment this afternoon so no makeup today!
