Please help short fat mother of the groom

This wedding is looming. I truly believed I'd lose a couple of stones at least but instead I'm probably a size 20 top huge matronly boobs and a 14 on the bottom.
I have a dress that will do as a last resort but it's nothing special and not especially flattering.
I just don't know where to look.
TriedBomshell but I just don't like them
I am also very short.
I've looked endlessly at Hobbs phase eight joined a preloaded wedding outfit on Facebook but I honestly don't know where else to look.
I think I've left it too late for one of the MOG shops and they all look so frumpy.
Any ideas please I think I need a a bit of a shake really

I, too, live in trousers and dreaded the thought of squeezing into a Mother Of the Bride dress. I was so much more comfortable in a vibrant multi-coloured silk tunic from Anna Scholz, Gina Bacconi chiffon trousers and an amazing hat from the local hat hire.

I’m 5’7 and the trousers did need taking up by a professional seamstress due to the layering.

I think don't think 'mother of the groom' - think about what suits you and makes you happy. If you're not the same size top and bottom then a two piece is probably going to be much better than a dress.

That all said, I popped into Phase 8 after a disastrous John Lewis consultation when I was MOG and they were amazing. John Lewis left me in tears because they couldn't find anything to fit or suit me but there was loads in Phase 8. Definitely worth popping in rather than trying to do it online.

Try a shop called Beige in London. They do clothes for larger ladies that are great quality. Pricey but worth it.
