Incredibly saggy boobs!

COL1N · 25/06/2022 13:50

As per the title, after years of yoyo dieting & breastfeeding, I have incredibly saggy boobs. Imagine nipples inline with belly button 😬
This is causing me 2 problems-

  1. They look really low down so obviously saggy when wearing clothes, I have tried every single bra (it feels like) & not found one that actually lifts them higher without making them look matronly & massive. I am a 40D by the way. Anyone found a magic bra which would help?
  2. The skin underneath, on boobs & tummy, gets really sweaty & sore. I use a spray on deodorant on the area but now Im starting to get loads of spots. Any suggestions for this issue?
Thankyou!

I'm a 36H and mine are saggy after two babies, breastfeeding and weight gain, loss and gain again. I recently went to a specialist independent lingerie shop and they recommended Elomie Matilda. I already knew my size after doing the Boob or Bust method and the fitter agreed.

It's the type of bra that gives good uplift and forward projection. Not cheap though! I've since bought a couple of last season's colours on eBay though for a tenner less than I paid in the shop.

My Bravissimo fitter described Elomie to me as 'a brand that know what they are doing'😁

Thats very pretty but I would have a load of skin falling out the deep cleavage shape in the front. Ive tried those styles before.

I just found out today about chub rub sticks and powders for between the thighs and saw there are a host of products that would be great for under the breasts, powders and creams etc that cyclists use.

Like this : www.amazon.co.uk/SweatBlock-Powder-Lotion-Anti-Chafing-Women/dp/B07PGWKNNP/ref=sr_1_5?crid=G24Q3TSOXXUO&keywords=Chub%2Brub%2Bpowder&qid=1656185082&sprefix=chub%2Brub%2Bpowder%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-5&th=1

Please try Freya fancies longline bra. I'm about a 36DD with very shallow, saggy breasts after multiple pregnancies/breastfeeding.
I'd be gutted if these bras were discontinued!
Also I find it good for holding in back fat and it looks very pretty.

once a year i go into M & S and pick loads of bras up in sizes close to what I think will work and then keep going until I find something that fits perfectly. Then buy 2-3 in that size to last the year. It saves embarrassing saga of being measured (which also I have found never gives an accurate sizing!!!) and you just keep going until you find something. Experiment with cup size / back size, you might be smaller in cup than you think but bigger in back, and sometimes vice versa. So much less embarrassing than getting measured.

Def do not do this

If anyone is in the Sheffield area I can recommend and excellent independent bra shop. She doesn't even measure you. She looks at you with your bra on and asks you your dress size then brings you bras to try on. She is a mircale worker.

I can have similar issues. Very sensitive skin. I actually started a thread about all things bra fitting and associated issue, you might find the discussion informative. Here:

But any rashes, I find a zinc and castor oil based cream works wonders. I get the Clark On The Spot Cream from Skinshop website. Otherwise any bite cream (Hydrocortisone) but use sparingly and observe precautions. On non inflamed skin building skin barrier up is good, ceramides, peptides and all that sort of thing.

Clarol On The Spot (autocorrect fail!)

That is just not true. Like I mentioned up thread, I’ve lost a huge amount of weight and have very deflated and saggy breasts, my breasts naturally rest around 6in below the inframammary fold which is the most severe kind of breast ptosis (sagging), my nipples point downwards and rest around 1in above my belly button. The breast tissue is in the bottom of the breast near the nipple, and the rest is skin. At the point where my cleavage should be, my chest wall/ribs protrude out further than the breasts themselves. Again, the skin is thin and crepey, and is just a mass of creased skin when encased in a see through bra.

BUT, the majority of the support still comes from the back band, despite my breasts having absolutely ZERO ability to hold themselves up, it has to come from the band. Relying on straps alone with a loose back band creates a pendulous effect when you walk and is not supportive enough, the shoulders are welted, the breast tissue further migrates around the sides, etc and it just doesn’t work or create a pleasing appearance in clothes.

A lot of people are uncomfortable with a very firm bra band, but it is 100% necessary for the best support, lift and back/shoulder health.

(I have all this detailed knowledge of breast sagging as I’m booked for a breast lift soon).

What @ZealAndArdour says is 100% spot on. Mine are like water balloons and so so droopy. I could put my hand under my breast and you couldn't see my fingers, that's how much overlap there was. And this has been since I was a teenager. Bravissmo saved me and for many many years I was happier in decent fitted bras. My mum had the same issue and after meno had horrendous infections and it really made me think so I went under the knife. I can't even hold a pencil under there now. No overhang. But I am still a 32E (Instead of 32H). Honestly the best 5K I ever spent and I am now about 5 years post surgery and I am still so very happy with the decision I made.

My advice in the first instance is get a properly fitted bra in a style that encases and holds your entire breast tissue where you want it and clear of your lower ribcage. You will feel better for it. Also Clotrimazole, generic formula from the chemist may make a difference to the skin break out.

Mine became similar after high doses of steroids. I highly recommend Bella Rose Lingerie (find her on Insta and Facebook). You can book with her for a fitting or just follow her bra tips. Agree with other posters, I'd be surprised if you were a 40d but even if that is accurate you sound like you need a full cup with side support to give you better support and a forward projection!
