I've got a dress from this designer and they suit me.

FFS no OP. You need a floral number which must not have either black or white anywhere near it and you must accessorise with a pair of wedges a fascinator and is likely to be a bit nippy a bloody pashmina. Or wear the dress you love and feel great. ( I’d clash the shoes and bag personally and keep it quite sharp)

I like it, not flaggy or worky for me.

Not unless you're declaring your own love for Denmark? It is very flag-esque.

Not weddingy, for me.

😂

WingBingo · 24/06/2022 07:59

I love it and I would wear it!

only matters what you think!

melmos · 24/06/2022 08:05

Love it and go for it!

ShirleyJackson · 24/06/2022 08:09

It’s fantastic.

DueyCheatemAndHow · 24/06/2022 08:17

So I spent last night bloody rawlings websites and as you all predicted came up with the.... floral number from Coast!

Fuck it, I love it and I doubt the brides know what the flag of Denmark looks like anyway!!!

But it was above my budget so now I need reasonable shoes (much as I LOVE those from LK....)

This made me laugh a lot

I love a bit of 60s homage but I think the comments about the Danish flag / Austin Powers are spot on, sadly. There are many other gorgeous retro frocks out there which are miles away from the usual Ted Baker / fascinator-type wedding outfit but which don't make you look like Vanessa Copenhagen.

MuddlerInLaw · 24/06/2022 08:32

Shoes? Zara has a sale at the moment …

Agree you could choose a clashing bag colour.

MuddlerInLaw · 24/06/2022 08:33

(Sorry, that was meant to show the red option, not the ghastly beige.)

josil · 24/06/2022 08:33

No I think it's nice OP

DueyCheatemAndHow · 24/06/2022 08:43

Absolutely love the shape of that Zara heel. Thanks! I'm excited now. Sod it.

Are you Danish?

Theres got to be a gazillion other dresses out there far better than that flag one.

TheOGCCL · 24/06/2022 10:45

I don’t this this is too worky, no. It’s too bright and out there to really fit in in an office.

I quite like it.

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2022 13:11

I love the shape and style, but like others have said unfortunately all I can see is the Danish flag. In a different colourway or pattern it'd be amazing.

Well done OP.

Also go for a great hat!

Blimey. Got ripped to shreds there!

I like it.

Fenella123 · 25/06/2022 12:38

If you have tried it on and look really good in it then that's worth more than rubies!
It's not UN-suitable for a wedding - the current fashions are different though, but as I'm not a fan of them anyway I'd not stand in your way...

Kite22 · 25/06/2022 12:55

I think it is a lovely dress, though somewhat over priced.
Get yourself a great big ehat and it will look lovely.
