Has anyone had this? Did it work? Can you still move your mouth properly??

I think it's filler you need for anything below the eyes, Botox for anything on top

In the lines themselves. I have great cheekbones and if they’d stuck fillers in there I’d have looked like Madonna!

So my face was still my face, just without the crevasses.

Me too. I have high prominent cheekbones so cheek filler a definite no no. I'd have looked like maleficent with filler

I actually had my nasolabial lines filled, this helped the marionette line disappear (just one, non permanent and visible in the morning after sleep). It's really good because the results are instant.

Fillers are better for the creases descending from the corners of the mouth- just had mine done (annoyingly only have a crease one side of my mouth!) and it was amazing. Best to fill the area rather than freeze the muscles. Also having a bit to lift the cheek above it apparently works as well but I haven't had this done. Totally painless and so worth it. Did have BOTOX on my scowly frown lines though!

Fillers. I had a great result.

I know this thread is old but really confused with all the different recommendations for marionette lines. I’m 34 and they are aging me!

Sorry I know this thread is old but how do you still feel about filler in the marionette lines? I also have full cheeks and good cheekbones. The marionette lines are really aging me. Is filler there the best option?

I’m amazed that you need them at 34!

I'm an aesthetic practitioner. Botox is not for marionette lines. It's fillers that fix this. Have a good look around or ask friends for recommendations for a qualified medical professional

Would you put filler directly into the marionette lines. I’m still happy with my nice cheeks and cheekbones?

If I were brave enough I’d show you pics. It’s been made worse in my head that an aesthetics nurse told me yeah you need a good mil in those and if you lose more weight maybe more. But is she saying that for custom or honesty. Who knows. I have a large underbite which has never bothered me but I wonder if it’s that which is causing the lines

Bignanna · 28/09/2024 21:17

Your nurse wasn’t very tactful! I think many have the lines from nose to mouth, which are just natural folds but the lines from the nose to chin usually develop from the forties onwards. Shape of face has a part to play too. Do you use retinol? In time this softens lines

Secretsout · 29/09/2024 09:20

CareerChange24 yes, absolutely you can fill them directly. You get a great improvement in them. Will almost certainly need a syringe each side as the volume loss goes deep in this area. Cannula should be used
