That old MN fave...the stylish waterproof jacket. Is this one??

I like it. But it says 'water repellent' . Does that mean its not waterproof?

I'm going to need it for the school run and a trip to paris in Feb. When it will be freezing and probably wet.

I've looked at Millets. Anyone got any of the ones on the website??

Or any other suggestions?

Thanks .

Is it waterproof?

Looks ok for a keep-in-the-boot thingy but I want a more of a coat option.

Nice style. If it was thicker, more substantial it would be great. And not pink!!

OK don't shoot me down but Prada is indestructible and v v stylish-no I don't own one but DH has an 8 year old one which he wears all the time including out in all weather on shoots etc ( he is in television) and I must admit it still looks brand new -2 of his friends have asked for the same jacket from their DPs for 40th birthday presents.

I've got a Zara one (showerproof), like the Landsend one but with hood and detachable padded lining so I wear it all year. Only really need showerproof as have to drive to sschool so only need it for in and out of car. BUT they do get lots of similar styles to mine in - Laura Ashley also had a similar one - quite shaped with hood, detachable lining but again - showerproof.
