Swimwear - Big boobs

I desperately need a new swimsuit or tankini. 34G, size 14. I've been looking at Deakin and Blue and the Hendricks styles look good, but so expensive! I don't swim that often so not sure I can justify the cost. Are there any other brands I should consider? I don't want anything too plunging or too padded. Lots of the ones on Brastop were a bit too much like this.

If you've found this page in search of swimwear that has been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best swimsuits for women useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

@FreeButtonBee

Deakin and blue suits are great. I am a short squashy busty 34G 12/14 and the Hepburn is super flattering on me. It’s defo not vanity sized so if in doubt size up. Well worth the money
I was looking at the Hendricks I think. Although they're expensive, if the quality is good, I don't mind as much if I'll have it a long time.

@starsinyourpies

Deakin and Blue do not have built in bust support so you are just 'squashed' in place. Mine is quite flattering but not sure I really recommend for big boobs I will probably go elsewhere next time.
Hmm. Maybe I need more support. Which style do you have?

I second @whimsicalwillow recommendation of the Panasche Anya Tankini!!
I’m a bit bigger that you are @hallwaypaint but similar bust size and this is the most comfortable, flattering and supportive tankini I’ve ever had! And I never thought I’d wear a stripe 😳🤣
Proper bra built in, ruched sides so you and wear it longer or shorter depending on preference & has detachable straps 😊 I’ve had mine about 3/4 years so far and it’s still going strong 😊 It’s not the cheapest and I think the bottoms to match it were expensive if I remember correctly so I just bought the top and wear it with plain black bottoms as I wanted bottoms that were a bit higher rise than the matching ones.

That sounds extremely promising! I will check it out. Thank you!

And thanks everyone. Some really good suggestions for me to go on.

Have a look at Next online- they have a really good selection of bra size swimwear.

gogohm · 27/03/2022 22:12

Mine are from fig leaves and bravissimo. I find a bikini more comfortable but put a rash vest on sometimes

CinnamonJellyBeans · 27/03/2022 23:15

Simply be now own figleaves (bra-sized swimwear). The frida bikinis are lovely on. They also do a tankini in the frida pattern, which may be a good option for you.

Personally I like the full cup tops from here but they do look a bit bra like, especially in plain colours. They are just very comfortable and supportive.
I’d go for a very swimwear type pattern and cut to avoid that. One of the bandeau styles in a floral maybe?

Volver · 28/03/2022 14:57

I have this in a 34G and it’s fab! You could try 36FF as it has no back band to worry about (it’s on offer hence only limited sizes available)

@hallwaypaint I have this one

That's nice. I like the way they're modelled on people with normal looking bodies.
