Swimwear - Big boobs

I desperately need a new swimsuit or tankini. 34G, size 14. I've been looking at Deakin and Blue and the Hendricks styles look good, but so expensive! I don't swim that often so not sure I can justify the cost. Are there any other brands I should consider? I don't want anything too plunging or too padded. Lots of the ones on Brastop were a bit too much like this.

If you've found this page in search of swimwear that has been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best swimsuits for women useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

I have one from Decathlon that has built-in scaffolding and is fine (at 30G at least) for the price. I bought it before they decided to keep trading in Russia so not an option for anyone boycotting now.
Otherwise, Freya are great.

shewhomustbeEbayed · 25/03/2022 18:34

I bought a Miraclesuit off ebay as cheaper than the usual cost ( about £150 I think ) they have proper bra like support and are flattering over the stomach.

aibutohavethisusername · 25/03/2022 18:54

I buy bikinis. I am the same size as you and I love fantasie.

Ribeebie · 25/03/2022 20:22

Bravissimo

hallwaypaint · 26/03/2022 07:49

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure I'm brave enough for a bikini. But I'll look at the other options!

They do one pieces too.
QuentininQuarantino · 26/03/2022 08:27

Simply be has figleaves and some nice bits. I really like the “frida” style, very colourful and pretty. I have the bikini version and it’s gorgeous. I’d recommend bra sized swimwear for the shape.

QuentininQuarantino · 26/03/2022 08:29

this one is on sale and has tummy control and in 34g

I often wear a bikini with a rash vest over the top - especially if I'm outside or with the kids and going to be standing around a bit getting cold! Otherwise I've just ordered a lovely bra sized Speedo swimsuit from Bravissimo but it's a bit pricey so can't decide whether to keep it...
balalake · 26/03/2022 09:33

@MadameDragon thanks for letting us know about Decathlon, wasn't planning to get anything now but will avoid in future.

aibutohavethisusername · 26/03/2022 09:43

Curvy Kate & Bra stop are other places to look too.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 26/03/2022 13:00

Bravissimo or M&S. My Mum has had some great bra sized underwrites swimsuits from M&S. Try a tankini too if you don't fancy a bikini.

WouldBeGood · 26/03/2022 13:09

Bikinis are much more flattering imo and easier to fit everywhere with big boobs.

Having said that, I got a leopard print swimsuit from Matalan last year that’s not hideous

whimsicalwillow · 26/03/2022 13:10

Look at Panache, anya is one I think. They come in bra sizes and fasten at the back similar to a bra. Underwires too. Great support especially when you come out of the water!

Bickles · 26/03/2022 13:15

Fantasie bra sized bikinis are great and have lots of styles of bottoms to choose from. I get mine from eBay shops.

FreeButtonBee · 26/03/2022 13:31

Deakin and blue suits are great. I am a short squashy busty 34G 12/14 and the Hepburn is super flattering on me. It’s defo not vanity sized so if in doubt size up. Well worth the money

SwimBike007 · 26/03/2022 13:39

I often wear a normal bra under a swim costume if I need good support a black one under a dark costume looks fine. Discovered it after doing a Triathlon and wearing a sports bra under my suit and I didn’t notice it swimming.

AnotherEmma · 26/03/2022 13:44

Figleaves, I got a lovely swimsuit in my bra size from there.

BringMeTea · 26/03/2022 14:31

This is nice. Modern looking. Comes in black and red too.

starsinyourpies · 27/03/2022 17:16

Deakin and Blue do not have built in bust support so you are just 'squashed' in place. Mine is quite flattering but not sure I really recommend for big boobs I will probably go elsewhere next time.

luckylavender · 27/03/2022 17:24

@hallwaypaint - I have big boobs & bought some from MandCo on recommendation. They're really good & have lasted well.

hallwaypaint · 27/03/2022 19:31

Thank you Luckylavender. Do you know which styles they were?

Will check this out. I do like the Panache sports bras. They are really well made.
