How can I have better eyebrows without wearing makeup?

deeplyrooted · 10/02/2022 12:28

I have terrible eyebrows. In order to get a good shape I would have to draw in the missing part, which is fine if I’m wearing make up.

I rarely wear make up except for special occasions, weddings, or very dressy events. But day to day I don’t.

Is there anything I can do about my eyebrows just to look better on a daily basis?

I really am clueless. I last got them plucked 15 years ago before eyebrows were a thing and beauticians speak a language I don’t I understand.

Yes! Get them tinted (along with your eyelashes). Honestly it makes an amazing difference. Any beauty salon will do this.

Get them microbladed! Haven't touched mine in months !

minipie · 10/02/2022 13:09

RapidBrow. To my surprise it works, to an extent. You won’t end up with Delevigne type brows but it definitely increases growth.

Livedandlearned · 10/02/2022 13:17

I take zinc and B vitamins and my eyebrows are as good as they were in my twenties.

My right eyebrow was so patchy but not any more.

It's B6 and B12 I'm sure, I take the seven seas perfect 7 but zinc and B vits are the crucial ingredients.

ABitOfAShitShow · 10/02/2022 13:26

Get them microbladed. It’s amazing not having to do a thing and yet, having good brows!

PinotPony · 10/02/2022 14:02

Had mine microbladed last year. Lovely shape with no effort!

Fritilleries · 10/02/2022 14:03

Do NOT get them microbladed if you're not used to wearing makeup. They will make your brows stand our a mile and rarely look natural. I would suggest you pop to Sainsbury's and look at the L'Oréal brow fit gel. I have very fair brows and I use the blonde shade. Works a treat and can be removed. Unlike microblading.

This! Use a brow gel with a mascara wand in the short term and a brow growth serum in the long term

That’s not the case at all. Mines are micro bladed and I often go days with no makeup.

There’s a difference between good and bad micro blading and the level the user bad provider decide to do.

If you do decide to microblade, OP - get a few personal recommendations.

Best think I’ve ever done!

Mercurial123 · 10/02/2022 14:43

I use castor oil it's definitely improved growth.

BestIsWest · 10/02/2022 14:51

DD swears by Rapidbrow. She went from having very patchy eyebrows to lovely thick ones. Took about 6 months though.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 10/02/2022 14:54

Search 'phibrows' - its a type of microblading with tiny individual hairstroke and looks incredibly natural. I got mine done and am delighted with the results.

pawpaws2022 · 10/02/2022 15:26

Digital machine brows. I've had mind done and love them

SummaLuvin · 10/02/2022 15:36

Tinting and lamination. It’s temporary, so you don’t need to worry too much and gives a fuller look.

If you consider microblading be very careful and do your research - I have heard even people who were delighted with results initially have found years later the colour has turned reddish and bled out from its original precise lines.

Mrstwiddle · 10/02/2022 15:59

Rapidbrow or Careprost (via Alldaychemist)

Agree with previous poster, do not go down the micro blading route! (Based on bitter experience)

lambchop81 · 10/02/2022 16:00

Microblading ❤️ mine is booked as a gift for next week can't wait. I have researched the lady doing it, even seen work she has done in the flesh.

lambchop81 · 10/02/2022 16:01

Fyi it isn't cheap around £120-£160 hence why it's a gift for me from my mum for my 40th. Everyone I know who has had them done are super happy.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 10/02/2022 16:03

I've heard great things about Rapid Brow too - read the reviews on Amazon to see if it's suited for you? amzn.to/3uFwhCl

I've got very light blonde eye brows and I've looked into micro blading, but the shape of mine and colour aren't really suited to it. Instead I've been recommended to have something called Powder Brow which is a more shaded version of tattooing / micro balding that looks more natural for me.

Pegasussnail · 10/02/2022 16:06

I've had mine microbladed (plus topped up every 18 months)
Never have to touch them just tint the greys coming through every few weeks

RonCarlos · 10/02/2022 16:07

I have mine dyed and shaped monthly. My beautician does HD brows and i believe this can be part of a regrowth programme. All I know is, I feel it's worth spending money on mine.

deeplyrooted · 10/02/2022 16:38

Thank you for all the suggestions.

I don’t think I have the courage for micro blading. I’m too squeamish.

Tinting won’t help I think because my eyebrows are already too dark for my skin.

I’ll take a look at rapid brow and some supplements.

Just having them threaded will make a huge difference as the shape stays nicely between appointments. My lady always recommends massaging olive oil into and sparse bits to encourage growth.

HasaDigaEebowai · 10/02/2022 18:43

Just to let you know that rapidbrow and revitalash etc take a couple of months of daily use before they start to take effect.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 10/02/2022 21:15

I recently had mine shaped and dyed
Wonderful ! Using a local salon

BIWI · 10/02/2022 21:17

@deeplyrooted

It shouldn't make your existing eyebrows any darker, but it will darken the very pale hairs that are in the patches of your brows.
