Anyone else think it's naff when you get a super short head massage at the basin? How do you communicate that it wasn't great at the time?

@PermanentTemporary

I have to ask - why don't they ask us??

I love a head massage but I know lots don't. Why on earth don't they just ask? Tbh they should, in fact.

Mine always ask. I hate massages, head or any other and always say no.

God, I hate a head massage. Already feels like your neck is being sawed through by the edge of the bowl, last thing I want is someone adding extra pressure. And the fingernails! Argh.

I love it but my hairdresser has started to charge for an extended one and the usual one seems to have dropped off the menu.

That is so greedy! I’m sure you lay loads for her services as it is.

So those who get massages... Like how many seconds/minutes does it last? I had one who did it for about 15 seconds going over each part of the head once.

I now pay almost £70 for the hairdresser and it ranges from about 40 seconds to 1.5 minutes.

Up to 2 minutes maybe

Everydaydayisaschoolday · 14/02/2022 11:16

I love massages generally but HATE head massages at the hairdressers. I find the backwash so uncomfortable I can't wait to get out of it. I feel so mean declining them though.
