Mine is the REN jelly cleanser, I’m a lazy caaah and I hate washing my face (don’t judge me I DO ACTUALLY wash my face, it’s just a chore) but this cleanser makes my face feel like a cloud Grin it just feels so soft and “cleansy”

Tell me your go to products?

Me too!

Izzy24 · 15/11/2021 22:34

Oops - missed the quote out. Was about living Trinny BFF.

My best tho is Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair for eyes. Love love love it.

TheChosenTwo · 15/11/2021 22:41

Although just in case I’m missing out on something I’ve now just signed up to dermatica Grin

frugalkitty · 15/11/2021 22:49

For anyone after Elemis, try QVC they usually have deals on which are better value than Elemis direct.

For me, I only really have one holy grail product which is the Liz Earle hair oil. I will honestly cry if it's ever discontinued, I've used it since it was launched and always have a spare in the drawer. Not sure if that counts as a beauty product as such though!

Bobsyer · 15/11/2021 22:54

I treated myself to Glossier milky jelly cleanser a year or so ago and it's the first cleanser I've bought more than once. It's SO nice. Very calming for my rosacea, mild enough to rub into my eyes to remove mascara, but strong enough to remove said mascara Grin. I was really surprised as I'm definitely not their target age or skin type.

For make up, I think my favourite is possibly Daniel Sandler watercolour blush in Gentle, as it's the same colour as my redness so if I really don't want to wear make up I can put just a dab of this on and it kind of evens things out a bit.

Bobsyer · 15/11/2021 22:54

And if I can add nails, Nails Inc 45 second top coat.

TheChosenTwo · 15/11/2021 23:00

@Bobsyer dd2 likes that glossier cleanser, I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s nice. She’s asked for some more and a few other bits from there (got her some kind of set that came in a case last Christmas), holding out for a Black Friday sale, I’ve had an email to say it’s coming soon, just a heads up.

For the folks asking about Dermatica, here is £25 off for the both of us if you use this referral code: www.dermatica.co.uk/referrer/GYELLR

The results started to show after 4 months of the treatment plan. You have to be patient but all of a sudden, I really noticed an improvement in luminosity and fine wrinkles a lot less embedded. I think you need to preservere and start of gently, and I had peeling skin for two months. when than happened , I took a break and instead of every day, every other day and built up to regular use. 6 months, now the results are what I hoped for. It’s not a miracle cream but it does slow done (I mean appearance) signs of aging. And I will never come off it!

CookieDoughKid · 15/11/2021 23:11

wizzbangfizz you receive a questionnaire which asks what your skin concerns are. The derma team creates a prescription based on your photos and your concerns. I wanted to minimise wrinkles and remove sun damage. Hard to see in photos before but i had brown patches and sun spots and although I didn’t have deep lines, it was aging.

HelloBunny · 15/11/2021 23:26

Burts Bees Lip Balm sticks. The original minty one is the best, although I have loads of different ones. I love lip tints & lipsticks, too!

Recently discovered Boots No 7, both make-up & skin products. Usually buy more expensive brands, but very impressed with this range!

Appalonia · 15/11/2021 23:49

Origins Vitazing tinted moisturiser. Gives me a lovely glow!
Agree Clinique Lashpower mascara is very good too. It doesn't budge
I really like Eucerin moisturiser. Very moisturizing and good for sensitive skin.

Justcashnosweets · 16/11/2021 08:09

Nivea Soft in the massive tub. I've tried so many moisturisers but I always come back to this. I can use it all over, its cheap, smells divine and makes my skin look all plump and glowy.

TeaAddict235 · 16/11/2021 14:32

Weleda Cold cream

TeaAddict235 · 16/11/2021 14:33

  • sorry got cut off

Weleda Cold Cream: it saves my skin every year against the cold German winters & snow

Failing that, the Weleda Calendula for children & babies. Smells good enough to eat Blush

Hummingbirdcake · 16/11/2021 14:39

REN Perfect canvas primer. Makes your skin feel great without that ‘creepy robot’ silicone feel.

Also Lily Lolo powder foundation.

MorrisZapp · 16/11/2021 14:44

Clinique Plumped Up Peony Chubby Stick blusher

OPI nail polish, Midnight in Moscow

Color Wow Dreamcoat

Sol de janeiro Bum Bum cream, the most delicious smell on earth

I've been using Dermatica for nearly a year.

It's prescription, so you work up to something harsh, and it's costing me about 40 quid a month (I don't live in the UK). What I'd say it's done is just smoothed everything out. Hormonal spots are less, pores are smaller, nose blackheads are dramatically reduced.

Fine lines, no, because if I put it anywhere near my eye skin they flake and go red.

I'm going to stop probably this month and buy something else for my 40 quid (probably off this list).

If you can get it, Serbian Pavlovic Ointment (preferably the Almond one) is fantastic - sudocreme is fine, but this smells amazing and works better for any dry skin. It's just an absolute nightmare to lay your hands on (I lived in Serbia for a year and jealously guard my 1 remaining jar!)

Lots of REN fans on this thread - their website has loads of offers right now. I got 25% off a big order where i stocked up on products for my daughter who will only use REN due to teen skin issues.

Lndnmummy · 17/11/2021 16:49

I couldnt get on with Dermatica, it triggered my Roseaca. I am with skin + me now and it is a game changer. Their consultations are really thorough and customer service is ace. They now have a targeted roseaca treatment plan which can include antibiotics as well as ointments. I love them.
If anyone wants to try and get the first month nearly for free you can use my code CAROLINE59PU

I love their products, as well as their regular discounts. My daily Toner, moisturiser, eye gel, hand lotion are all Ren. I treated myself to the M&S Advent Calendar because nearly all of the products are things I’d definitely use, including Ren regulars.
TheChosenTwo · 17/11/2021 22:10

Okay my first dermatica arrived today, I have a few thoughts.
I realised that I can no longer use most of the lovely skincare in my drawers while I use this.
It stinks. Horrible smell, not particularly nice to use. I like doing my skincare routing as some kind of weird self care, it’s relaxing and pampering. This doesn’t feel very pampering!
I’m convinced everyone is just started on the same prescription and it’s not particularly tailored, they just give you a slightly stronger one for the next two months and keep you at the the same strength until you cancel.
I used 2 pumps and it barely felt enough and I wasn’t even going near my eyes nose or mouth!!
Anyway, will stick with it as I’m intrigued, those were just my initial ponderings.

StormyCornishSeas · 17/11/2021 22:12

Body shop vitamin c serum. Makes my face so smooth

I went away at the weekend and I forgot to pack it and I actually felt lost without it

Lampzade · 17/11/2021 23:28

Astral-,relatively cheap but effective moisturiser

RiverSkater · 18/11/2021 00:25

The Ordinary Argireline

I stopped using it and the 11s came back.

A Retin based product - I'm using Tretinion but whatever you can get your hands on. You need SPF 50 and I use Nivea.

Heritage Rosewater and Glycerin toner - for face, dry hair - it's natural and lovely.

Faceworks App face exercises.

CookieDoughKid · 19/11/2021 15:15

10TheChosenTwo I think everyone responds to Dermatica differently. It is highly potent and even on its weakest strength is much stronger than anything you can buy on the high street which is why the dosage is so small. Usually you need a private prescription for the lowest strength of Dermatica (Retinol). If you're after a clinical proven treatment, Dermatica and Skin and Me and any others that contain prescription strength retinol/retinoic acid will be more visibly effective than shop bought nice smelling product. I'm sure you know to give it six months before you see effects and to wait at least half hour ( I wait an hour) between having your face wet/cleansed before applying Dermatica. I used to apply a simple based moisturizer before applying Dermatica but wait 30mins between applications. Otherwise your skin can really suffer if you're too liberal with it. You should avoid sensitive areas like eyes and under eyes. Even two full pumps of Dermatica is a lot. Good luck, for me the change has been really visible.
