thin cardi si a bit grannyish
wwonder if will hang on tummy

Blu · 11/12/2007 18:12

I think that would look fab with choolate boots.
Cardi and dress both v versatile, too.

I like the tunics - hmmm...

hoxtonchick · 11/12/2007 18:13

hello bk, i have a similar figure to you (lucky us eh ). i think that dress from fwm is very pretty but might be too clingy round the tummy....

i quite like the look of this.

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 11/12/2007 18:13

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that is audreyfforbes hamiltons nighty

Blu · 11/12/2007 18:14

ok - maybe more structured, less frilly cardi?

Blu · 11/12/2007 18:15

I looked at Toast earlier - don't you think it could look a bit relentless and shephred's smock? Beautiful fabric, though.

hoxtonchick · 11/12/2007 18:18

honestly, you two just have no style . alot of toast stuff looks dull on the website but nice on.

i have this dress too. but it is quite short....

pinetreedog · 11/12/2007 18:19

the dress looks good, kate. I have one that style. Var flattering

Blu · 11/12/2007 18:27

have a look through this site - Planet - I have a Planet dress

Hoxty - yes, I do like Toast - and the best pair of trousers i EVER bought were toast.

PatsyCline · 11/12/2007 20:38

I am loving this dress www.jemboutique.com/shopexd.asp?id=10108

Not cheap, but pretty damn gorgeous and in stock in a 16.

ggirlsbells · 11/12/2007 20:44

icod4by4 · 11/12/2007 20:50

except where she goes in i'll bulgeout

Blu · 12/12/2007 11:22

I like that Karen Cole site...the tunic top is fab - bit figure hugging unless you are of skimpy build, i think!

I like this long cardy, over a dress or jeans...v elegant www.karencole.co.uk/pproduct.php?pid=GTK125

PatsyCline · 12/12/2007 12:35

Ooh, that site's great. V.classy.

I opened the Uniqlo link and am now much poorer.

hoxtonchick · 12/12/2007 17:20

uniqlo cashmere is fabulous. and their sweater dresses.

inSanityClaus · 12/12/2007 22:22

There is a stonking sweater dress reduced to £2.99 - if you are an 'XS'.

hi everyone!

lots of posts since i was last here. thank you all so much

i have been doing some thinking inspired by what you have written and have discovered i do have some potential outfits already .

Option 1 - I do in fact have a LBD which is not remotely spangly and which is quite like those suggested earlier in the thread. have plenty of accessories for this. would need to bring a change of clothes for muddy walk but that wouldn't be the end of the world.

Option 2 - The tunic & cashmere suggestions reminded me that i have a very fine knit boyfriend style black jumper which could be worn with some wide leg black trousers and some high heels. plenty of accessories for this too, and only need to bring jeans for the walk.

Option 3 - I have been rather smitten with that sable/fuchsia dress from fenn wright & manson that I linked below. I agree the cardigan is not so nice, so wouldn't bother with that would stick to thermal undies and pashmina style shawl instead!

cod, i am really touched that you thought of me while out shopping, that was kind however, and i wonder if my fellow apples hoxton and mater will agree , skirts are not thing if you have a belly!

i love the karen cole site - will be bookmarked!

also ggirl that red satin dress is lovely, but not for christmas day i feel.

i am feeling much better now thanks to you all, was feeling quite down and miserable when i started this thread.

thank you very much to everyone for these great suggestions
