How many clothes do you own?

Roughly how much of each kind of item, jeans, jumpers, scarves etc?
I had a massive cull over lockdown and feel like I've left myself with barely anything. I keep looking back at photos and thinking why did I give that away!

I have
Jeans - 3 pairs
Jumpers - only 2
Vests tops - about 15
Tops to wear with leggings - 8
Christmas jumpers - 0 (I gave them all away)
Going out dresses - 0
Wedding/christening type dresses - 5
A few holiday dresses
2 pairs of boots
Winter jackets 2
Winter coats 2 (1 I can't wear a jumper under it's a bit tight)
1 scarf Sad

I've spent thousands over the years on clothes, all my wages when I was eating £1000+ a month would go.. and now I've got nothing to show for it and I'm not earning so don't have the money to replace it. I had some amazing dresses for going out in my 20s and they're all gone. I mean if I had them now I'd probably feel too old for them or like they were too short - I see people saying they have items from their teens and I've got absolutely nothing!

What do you have?

There are three double wardrobes all full. One is half full of jackets though... I try to donate clothes every time I buy. Unless it is replacements.

Storage is the issue really - I can’t bear a too overstuffed wardrobe. I have a triple wardrobe, a huge armoire downstairs fir my coats and jackets (I never seem to have enough blazers - just me? - always think, ooh I need a white one or a more heavyweight wool one or a lighter weight linen one - definitely my downfall Grin)
Shoe storage is a major struggle - I store all my going out heels in baskets on top of my wardrobe - barely wear them but I can’t part with them as they are all so gorgeous and I do still wear them occasionally). But ankle boots/knee high boots/trainers are dotted all around the house in apple boxes with cushions over the top to conceal them - they’re in my kitchen/dining room/living room/conservatory. It’s bonkers - I would love a walk in wardrobe or dressing room so everything could be in one place all stored visibly so I know what I have.

I too regret throwing clothes away after having my first DD that I thought I would never fit into again. Of course I could - I actually ended up weighing the least I ever weighed after having 2 kids as I never had time to eat or sit down Grin. I still mourn for the most perfect black dress I ever had - it was a beautiful edgy lightweight nylon fabric with a boat neck that ended perfectly on each shoulder, sleeveless, fitted to the waist and then flounced out slightly to around 2 inches above by knee. It had a kick ass studded wide belt and just looked so cool - I could cry to think I gave it away. You are not alone OP.

Waaaaaay too many tbh......but I live such a varied life that I need a varied wardrobe. Office clothes, gym clothes, festival clothes, cruise clothes, weekend away clothes, casual night out clothes, dressy night out clothes.....eeeh the list goes on 😂

We’ve just moved so I’ve lost my amazing walk in dressing room. I had a massive cull as i had a rail of stuff I’d never worn or not worn in past 12 months. Also have lost some weight so hoping to rebuy clothes that actually fit. I’ll have to do a lot of shopping as we’ve changed climates so warm clothes will now be essential.

I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe but don’t think it’s something I could stick to.

I think I have about 10 of everything - jeans/ trousers/shorts/ dresses / jumpers / shirts etc
