Basically is it worth it?

I'm considering buying one now my kids our out of the nappy bag stage but still need a large day bag sometimes - I like the idea of a bag I can just use when I need to carry quite a few bits but that also looks lovely. I've seen quite a few women at the gym with them and am considering a purchase.

I have a small Gucci marmont in black which I use most days - but I end up with a canvas tote or scruffy gym bag a lot! Which I don't love.

I'm weighing up getting a monogrammed one but is it a bit tragic? I do love it!

Bought an MM in Daimer Azure 10 years ago, it went through years of daily tube commute, weekend trips, 2 children, and back to commute again.
It's just starting to fray where the leather trim overlaps on the edge of the bag, otherwise it's in great condition.
I paid £500 back then, wouldn't pay the price they are asking now, and not the monogram, too dark and tacky (IMO!!)

@FourteenthDoctor absolutely love it. I’ve been taking it everywhere and am looking forward to using it thru the darker months. Will treat myself to something in the lighter print for spring/summer (& possibly another style/ leather for Christmas …).

@FourteenthDoctor oh my. Just looked at those. Gorgeous. I’ll be picking up one of the silk squares. I usually get a hermes one but have been uninspired lately - hopefully they’ll bring out something to tempt me.

So glad you love it - I went through a stage of bigger bags and then they got smaller but now they seem to have got bigger again!
